"What-Ifs?", like several alternate futures, are only referenced in 616 continuity when they make Wolverine look better it seems (for example, it is now 'canon' that Logan can kill the full strength savage green Hulk by repeatedly hacking at the Hulk's throat...a really stupid idea that appeared in a 'What-if' story first).

Not that the above 'what if' story wasn't extremely daft too...I like the Punisher too but come on...he killed everyone!!

I really wish Marvel just changed all of his superpowers to "pure awesomeness" in the handbook. It would explain X3, the Nitro incident, and so many other inconsistencies I'm sure they're just waiting to unleash on the readers still interested in Wolverine-related books. All without them having to explain a single thing to "the little people" too.
