Guitar Hero III - For 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 this winter.

I'm over half way in Career mode on Expert right now, just beat Knights of Cydonia.

they hacked it. The developers arent going to allow you to get your own songs in the game
not really. In GH2 for the Xbox 360 they let you download and import songs from any MP3 out there. But that don't seemed to make many hate the GH2 Xbox 360's Controller. They loved the PS2 one but hated the 360's.

BS. Otherwise why the hell would I have even bought GHIII?

none of what you just said was true.

If by "any MP3" you mean "some tracks from Guitar Hero I and a couple other songs in track packs" then you are correct.

This game is kinda disappointing. It makes you realize you suck at guitar, and you'll never be a hero. :csad:

There are some songs that can only be unlocked in co-op mode, like "Sabotage" and "Suck My Kiss". Is there online co-op via Xbox Live where these songs can be unlocked?

Quoting myself here. Is co-op mode the only way to get these songs?

Yeah, you've gotta play a co-op career.

Okay, new question. If you enter in a cheat code for the 360 version, will it disable achievement points? All I want to do is to enter the "all songs in quick play" cheat.

Guitar Hero 2 for the 360 was the first Guitar Hero game online and you could import songs. Even that most of the people I knew that had a 360 hated Guitar Hero 2 Controller. But, I did hear the Guitar Hero 3's Controller for 360 is a lot better. As for me I'm going to get the Wii version.:word:

First one online, yes. Import. No. Controller, personal preference.

No, it makes you realize that the game is not all that similar to playing a real guitar, and a lot less of an accomplishment, but still fun all the less.

We need an idiot thread, in which to post posts like this one.

You CAN NOT import songs on the 360 version. I own the 360 version. I've owned it since the day it came out. The ONLY way to import songs into it is the same way you "import" songs into the PS2 version, IE heavily modding your system, which in the case of the 360 also makes it impossible to use live and voids the warranty. Your friends are liars or you're full of so much s**t that your eyes are brown. Also, it's not online either. If by online you mean it has downloadable content, which is the only way to get songs that arent already in the game and it costs money, btw, and is live aware, then yeah it's online. If you mean you can play it against or with people online, then no, no it's not online at all.

1. GH2 for the 360 was Live compatible, in the sense of downloading Activision and RedOctane-made songs ONLY. You couldn't import your own songs unless you MODDED your 360/PS2.
2. It never had online play. GH3 is the FIRST GH game with online play!

God, you're an idiot.

if they allowed you to import songs from anywhere then that would defeat the whole purpose of them charging for songs on Xbox Live! Stop posting incorrect info

I'm probably going to buy the Rock Band bundle. But I'll likely give GH3 a rental at some point just to see what I'm missing. From what I've seen, it looks like GH3 might have somewhat better guitar arrangements and a better track list. But Rock Band all around looks a lot better, and listening to EGM go on and on about it in their podcast each week has got me more or less sold on it.
