Hal goes Bling !

Not if Jesse Custer's around.
yet at Heroes Con they said that "Kyle fans wont like us in september"
At this point, I kind of wish they would just off Kyle or turn him into Parallax. Have Ray Palmer just stay gone, cancel Checkmate, keep pretending Wally doesn't exist in The Flash, strip away the few good elements of JSA, and sign Meltzer to JLA for another 10 years. Then I could just ditch the DC universe altogether and just buy some more Vertigo and Wildstorm comics or something.

The first 3 are still distinct possibilities.

It's so sad that I've gone from loving almost everything DC puts out to hating almost everything DC puts out in just two or three short years.

That's what happens with the abuse of power.

*insert Star Wars reference here*

How come I can NEVER find the trades of Green Lantern's relaunch w/Johns' Jordan?? Is DC holding out like they do with Batman/Superman or what???

The DC trades department probably developed a conscience and they're trying to spare you. :o

The first arc wasn't terrible. The rest of the series has basically been Johns retconning away every bad thing Hal ever did. So, I guess if you like erasing pretty much the only interesting parts of characters' backstories, you'd probably like Johns' GL series.

Johns seems to love the idea of making Hal flawless, even though I always loved the character because he was fairly flawed but was still the greatest simply because he refused to give up.

Hmm, that's too bad! Especially since Hal turning mad/then Spectre really brought about an extremely moving evolution of his character. :(

I did enjoy GL:Rebirth, and was interested in the potential of the Sinestro Corps series....but I wouldn't read it unless I checked out some of the series first.

Do you remember when Hal was cool? I distinctly remember at least one issue of one comic where he was cool. Or am I just crazy? :csad:

Theres only one time in continuity that Hal was cool, JLA Year One. The only other thing I can think of was Final Frontier.

Technically JLA Year One isn't in continuity anymore... i know, it sucks... great story though, and great Hal in it...
