Nightcrawler hmm? Anyone else think I should do Nightcrawler? Or any other X-men? This is my first X-Man drawing here so people better pick a good one for me...

Just for kicks I sketched this out tonight... Now keep in mind, it's pretty rough still and I have never drawn any X-Men before so I apologize if this is a little off. I know I still need to make the ears pointy and add the tail still.
This on the right track for you X-Men/Nightcrawler fans?

Thats cool man. I really have no idea what his current costume is, but I thought this was a more "classic" costume for him. I could be wrong.

Ok... so I am putting up 2 new pics despite my vow in the nightcrawler thread to be working on some comic stuff. I still am but I pulled this 2 oldies but goodies off my old harddrive and thought I ought to get them in shape.

This first pic is the FIRST fully realized pic of the Gabe character that I posted earlier in the thread and I think it had aged pretty well. Still got lots of nasties and blood and guts in it. I am REALLY looking forward to coloring it and touching it up:

Keep in mind these are OLD pics. Done back in 2000-2001 or so.

I am posting this here so I can keep all the final pics in my thread.

So while it’s not the first Halcyon drawing, it is the first fully realized one, when I really got Gabe, how he looked, his enemies and so on.

Now what is a “Halcyon” you might ask?

Well aside from meaning “golden” or “prosperous” (i.e. halcyon years or golden years) it also has this fantastic definition: “A fabled bird, identified with the kingfisher, that was supposed to have had the power to calm the wind and the waves while it nested on the sea during the winter solstice.”

So I see our hero, aside from being young and new to the Superhero-ing and evil monster killing job, Gabe is part of a lineage (the seventh in fact) of fabled protectors who are supposed to help bring peace to the world.

So... thats the basic idea.

C+C are always welcome. I will post a updated version of the girl fighting the monsters pic a little later.

I like the image. I feel the dark blue is a little overpowering in the background. I'm wondering if it might look better with a lighter background instead.

Also not a big fan of the lettering used. I think it's over "rendered" and takes away from the image. I would think a simpler text without the "balloons" would work better
