lessons to be learned from Halo 2- Dont f**king rush s**t out for release date, because you get a half finished game...they even say so on the dvd that came with the special edition...the guy in charge of the project was almost crying talking about how if they just had "two more weeks" it could have been what everyone was expecting

The "three levels" they couldn't get in couldn't possibly have been only two work weeks away. They probably just wanted to say something.

I don't think they could have done anything if you had shown one day before they went gold and said "surprise, you've got two extra weeks!". But if they had those two extra weeks all along and hadn't already given up on that one last level, I think they probably could have put in a better ending to the game.

At this point, none of Halo 2 matters aside from a few plot-points. Halo 3 will hopefully do everything it needs to in order to be the best FPS on the Xbox 360.

I know it probably won't surpass Bioshock in terms of intricacy or mystery, but it will damn-sure have amazing combat and hopefully some very memorable levels.

Anyway, on the topic at hand, I think Halo 3 is going to make up for Halo 2's (many, in my opinion) shortcomings and then some.

The only disappointment I have over the finale is that the Spartans from the books wont be involved, but it would be kind of silly for them to show up at this point.

Anyways, I'm sure story-wise they've gotten their act together. They keep pushing this as the grand finale so they can't really leave any loose ends cause there wont be another one to tie it up with and I'd hope they wouldn't want to royally piss off their fans like that.

Yeah so have I. I can't imagine the Halo beta possibly being any better than CoD. I think CoD will definitely challenge Halo for best FPS this year.

As far as I know, COD4's battles are more like COD2s, in that there aren't too many onscreen enemies at once and going by COD2's structure I don't think vehicular combat will be well implemented, if at all.

Because of the Arbiter levels. Thank god you only play as the Master Chief in Halo 3's campaign mode.

Every level in that game sucked. Holy crap. The gameplay was great but the level design was just horrid.
