After more than thousand complaints of Xbox 360 users, Microsoft has admitted Saturday night that there is a flaw in the Xbox 360. That happened in the Dutch television programme "Kassa". The flaw causes CDs and DVDs that are spinning in the player to get damaged.

According to a press declaration from Microsoft, the Xbox 360 can cause scratches. Initially the company denied to be guilty for the damage. Microsoft kept saying for months that the gamers themselves are responsible for scratches on the discs.

After research on the Xbox 360 it was determined that the scratches occur by the lack of a so called "bump pillows" at the lens. From the data of "Kassa" it would concerns a worldwide serial of approximately 1 to 2 million Xbox 360 consoles.

In the consumer programme "Kassa" Microsoft promised to offer aid to users who have complaints in the form of repairing. It is however not possible to get a new console.

I think i got the best 360 out of all the 360's. I havent had a single problem, not a disk scratch, nothing at all. I got mine the day it released.

Wonder if Sony will admit the flaw that PS3 has; ****ty games and online :o :oldrazz:

Wonder when you'll admit you suck! :p

I think I have a good one also! Mine's been working fine and the discs are crystal clean. (YIPEE!!) lol

Lol same here. I keep joking with my friends that perhaps I should sell my one-of-a-kind never-had-a-problem-ever launch XBOX 360.

Seriously, I hear all these stories about updates bricking 360s, games becoming damaged while in the system, systems overheating, Guitar Hero guitars being defective, HD DVDs not working in their drives, etc. Yet, I've had my system since Day 1 and NONE of that has ever happened to me. I'm not saying that the claims of problems are phony, cause I know some people who HAVE had problems with their 360s, but MAN, I must've got the good one! :)

I'll admit that the 360 has flaws the moment the Wii admits 70 percent of their games are aimed towards twelve year olds.

dude...huge xbox fanboy here...my launch one f**ked up recently. It has flaws...and nintendo has admited before that they're a family oriented company, so that's a moot point that has nothing to do with anything

If pleasing soccer moms that love George Cloony and calcium is a good marketing job then the 360's failed. Oh wait, it's number one. :cwink:

hasnt the Wii been the best selling system every month since it came out?

Thats actually incorrect. The 360 had the number one December console sales this past yr(for next gen systems). It had 1.1 mil and the Wii had 490,000, but the Wii was in short supply so that was probably a reason for its numbers.

probably from people like me who's 360 broke so they have to buy a new one :cmad:!!!

But you shouldnt have to "buy" a new one. As long as your system is still under warranty from MS, theyll send you another one. I had a freind who had the red lights of death and MS had him a new console in about 4 weeks.

it was a launch system...and at this point I'd rather buy a new one than send it in, as I can get the year warranty again, and then buy a protection plan on it from the store

Wii's catching up fast and still very hard to find now, that wasn't the case with 360. Maybe Nintendo knows what it's doing?

Well, the 360 was scarce until late Apr early May. I think, even if the Wii does eclipse the 360 in sales, that wont tell you much(i mean that system is a great deal at 250). I still think the 360 will sell more games than the Wii could ever dream of. Plus, the 360 still has that little tiny small game known as Halo 3, which coud possibly be THE single largest selling game of all time.

Ah, yea im in the same boat. If my box craps out now, i gotta drop another 400 to get a new one.
