Well looking at what you stated it didnt look like it, I am just glad your clued on wouldnt want you missing vital information and such.

when i watch anything, good, bad, boring, i pay attention to it. if i didn't i wouldnt have formed my opinion at all. If i like or didn't like something, i have valid reasoning for it.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean, that their powers are gone forever. It just means it would take longer to get them back.

Exactly, i think it was implied that when together, even though they grow old, they dont completely lose their powers either.

Ok...this one is simple....Obviously they do not loose their powers totally when they are together, because they have spent centuries together and yet today they still have their powers. So that discussion is irrelevant. Their powers go down to the lowest they can go, but quickly (somewhat) come back when they separate.

As for the aging thing, I would like to think that they age when they are together since their healing and other infinite powers are nearly depleted.

I dont think that was heavily implied at all, all that was implied is that when they are together they grow old, nothing was mentioned about losing powers completely.

Sorry if my review comes a little late, but the movie was just released last week on my country, so, understand me a little here.

I finally was able to go and see "Hancock", and I actually liked it, it was a fun film. Also very fast, I mean, I was like "What? Is over already over?", it didn't bother me, I was just wondering. I do have some complains though, but regardless, I enjoyed the film very much, and I enjoyed it for what it is: A summer flick.

Pros:
- Great acting. It's good to finally see Will Smith playing a not so nice man.
- Good effects.
- The shaky camera is not annoying, as I expected it would be.
- Fun, there are a lot of good jokes, even at the climax.
- Jason Bateman is great. I loved the scene where he's running through the house happily.

Cons:
- The whole thing between Hancock and Mary is not well developed. Will Smith and Charlize Theron have good chemistry, it's shame they didn't have more scenes together.
- Red oughts to be the lamest villain of all the superhero movies of 2008.
- The third act was rushed.
- I understand what they were trying to do on the climax, after I thought about it, in the moment it's confusing and you don't really connect with what was happening.
- That moon thing was so cheesy, and what was the deal with that bird at the ending?

Even so, I do like this movie, I rate with an 8. Fun , touches on some subjects that could have worked very well, too bad they didn't even tried to. Could have been better? Definitely, but this isn't horrible as many people are saying it is.

Though I do wonder how "Tonight He Comes" would have turned out. We will never know.

the one thing i didnt understand was that, at first, they make it seem like the emotionally closer they are the weaker they are, then later on they pretty much say nope nevermind it has to do with physical distance, not emotional.

Apparently they just assumed from the hat (or was it the wife's prior knowledge?) that he had a thing for birds and it was true or he just ran with it.

More odd is if Hancock has been around in his current, drunk-flying form for eighty years why did he only become a superhero in so recent a point that no one knew he was ageless?

well the public knows hancock is around. hancock is not people friendly, he only really opened up to jason bateman's character. and one would assume that a man who is superhero would look good for his age, however old he is.

It's worldwide gross so far is around $371 million.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, other than I had a feeling it was going be rushed due to the running time. I had a few good solid laughs, I got a little confused during the hospital/street scene. Oh well, Will Smith is still great and I thought Jason Bateman held his own.

They do lose them perminantly. Theron says this when shes explaing the origin to Hancock. They were all pre determined to have a partner and the reason theres no others is cuz they all paired up and died. She also explains about the times throughout the centurys that they tried to be close but kept being pulled apart.

that for the 3rd time isn't the confusion... it's if the powers can perminately go away, or if they can come back when apart again (even if they were together for a long period of time)

Ok and yes for a third time, after an extended period of time (say when 2 get together and stay together) the powers DO go away, never to return and equalling permanant death. This WAS explained by Theron.
