Oh yeah, I don't think Ambrose fits as a guy that would work with Triple H in the role Rollins is playing, if he'd turned on them it would have had to be independently, he's such a loose canon type of character I think his heel run will be more of a solo effort that plays up how unstable he is without The Shield top keep him in line.
Rusev needs a proper feud no doubt, he's recently had decent short matches with Big E and Kofi but I think Sheamus might be the guy to help him get to the next level in terms of what he can produce in the ring and in an actual feud.
Would investor pressure explain why Punk is not one of the releases?

A ton of Divas have already quit over the last few years. Other than JoJo I don't think there are are any divas left to cut besides Rosa who isn't getting released because she is with Hayes.
Eva Marie should probably get the boot but she won't because of Total Divas.
Tamina is safe due to her family connections and because they would be down to about two heel divas on the main roster without her.

From what I read today, Vince is planning on renewing Punk's contract due to a clause in all contracts that they can be automatically renewed. Vince did this with Mysterio because of all the time he missed due to injuries and he feels that Rey "owes" the company appearances, hence the renewal. The thought process is that he will do the same with Punk so he can't sign anywhere else but Punk is not obligated to return to work.
I'm not entirely sure how these contracts work, but I'm guessing that if Punk is sitting at home in Chicago, he's not being paid. So it's a moot point whether he's released or not, because his pay isn't showing up in the company's earnings as an expense.
With the end of the fiscal quarter coming up, dumping all these salaries might help the WWE issue a better-looking "forward guidance" (where the company announces what they expect their future profits to look like) and maybe bump up the stock price, and help Vince get back some of his net worth.
Rosa was just added to Total Divas.

While WWE has teased a third member of The Shield this past week, it's said that there are currently no plans to bring a new member into the group with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
Also as of this week, Seth Rollins is not going to be an official member of Evolution.
One point of discussion within WWE right now is the ring gear that Rollins will be wearing now that he's not in The Shield.

Ziggler dammit![]()
Ziggler isn't going to do anything. He's not over with the right people I guess.

Neither Bo nor Dolph are right for the Shield. "Rebooting" any existing WWE character to fit in with the Shield would just dilute that group for the worse.
Either Ric Flair comes in to be Ambrose's and Reigns' manager, or a third member should be a fresh face from NXT.
I was assuming he was talking about having Ziggler join Evolution, then again maybe I misinterpreted what he meant.
THis makes me happy after the loss of the best stable in wrestling.- The dark match before tonights WWE NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University saw Solomon Crowe defeat Bull Dempsey with a Stretch Muffler.
I would love to see Prince Devitt in The Shield, but I know I'm alone in that.
