NXT was so much better than Raw this week. I love that there was a six-woman tag match with actual wrestling and story. The highlight of the episode, though, is Mr. NXT.

With the current Development of Daniel Bryans injury and the Shield splitting up and all the bad things that have been happening lately its starting to become the only program to watch that's pretty good every week is NXT.

- WWE’s TV deal in France expires on July 4th and NT1 will not be renewing it. WWE will still have a cable and satellite presence in France.

WWE debuted on NT1 in November 2006 with SmackDown and due to the success of that, NT1 began airing RAW in July 2007. NT1 was sold back in 2010 and the new owners don’t feel that pro wrestling fits into their vision, plus ratings began to drop. NT1 moved WWE programming out of primtetime in 2012 and recently it was limited to airing at 4am on weekends.

WWE still has RAW, SmackDown, Main Event, NXT, Vintage Collection and pay-per-views for free airing on cable & satellite in France but they’re losing the network revenue from having a deal with NT1.

- Our correspondent at Thursday night’s WWE NXT tapings noted that Solomon Crowe, who defeated Buddy Murphy in a dark match, has lost a lot of weight compared to how he looked when fans knew him as Sami Callihan.

- WWE producer Kevin Dunn is a huge proponent of Alicia Fox right now so her new gimmick will likely continue to be featured on WWE TV.

- We noted before that there were rumblings within WWE that more cuts might be coming, on the talent and the office side. Regarding more talent releases, there is a fear but it was noted that there’s always paranoia among the roster when WWE starts announcing releases.

- Thursday night’s WWE NXT TV tapings from Full Sail University were sold out again. After the show had started, Full Sail staff members began filling up any empty spot with chairs as more fans were coming in. Our correspondent attends NXT TV tapings and live events across Florida regularly and said this was one of the biggest NXT crowds she’s seen.

- Regarding the recently released WWE talents showing up in TNA, the only one that’s able to do what he wants right now is Teddy Long as his contract expired.

The other talents were informed they were being released so they will be paid their downside for another 90 days and then will be free to do what they want. September 12th would be the earliest that we could see some of them in TNA.

- WrestlingDVDNews.com reports that WWE will be releasing a “Top Giants In Wrestling History” DVD and Blu-ray later this year. There is no confirmed release date yet but it’s expected for October.

WWE first brought up the idea of doing a “Top Giants” DVD in a survey that was issued to fans last year. The synopsis on that survey read like this:

“Top Giants in Wrestling History: 20 profiles on WWE’s Best Giants (Andre, John Studd, Kamala, King Kong Bundy, Big Show, Mark Henry, Gorilla Monsoon, etc).”

- Mick Foley wrote the following on Facebook about CM Punk earlier:

“Watching the latest epsidoe of #WWECountdown on #WWENetwork only reinforces how badly CM Punk is missed in WWE. The infamous #PipeBomb promo only grows more fascinating with time.”

- Our correspondent at Thursday night’s WWE NXT tapings noted that three of Tyler Breeze’s fingers were in a splint and appeared to be broken.

- The fact that TNA drew very bad attendance at their stadium shows last weekend really had morale down among the roster that was on the road.

Word is that so many talents have been let go, talents know that the Carter family is hardly putting any new money into the company and since wrestlers usually judge how things are going based on the crowds, it’s said that there is a feeling of uneasiness about the future even more than ever before right now. The lack of a TV deal is also part of the morale problem but TNA sending stars to the Spike TV awards show last week could be a sign that their talks are progressing.

Several TNA stars have recently contacted Ring of Honor for work and some are hoping that Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling will be an option. There’s also some concern that few details on GFW have been confirmed and it’s getting closer to the time when fall programming is announced.

- TNA’s production team released an additional 30 seats for Sunday’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. They are available at UTATickets.com.

- We noted back in late April that Austin Aries had been in the TNA dog house after a blow-up at a TV taping.

It’s said that the only reason he’s being used now is because Samoa Joe had to miss a taping due to family issues and Aries was used in his place. The issues that Aries had with management have blown over and he’s back regularly now.

I think I'm gonna take Bryan and Vinny's advice and put myself on a one month ban from Impact Wrestling. I will watch Slammiversary though to see how bad it could turn out.

I stopped watching TNA months ago and have felt much better for it.

This should be good, I guess calling it top Giants instead of Monster Heels gives them more scope, there better be a big section on Vader.

Fully agree with Mick, Punk is a huge miss I don't care how cool it now is to gripe at him. whenever Steph and Triple H are out there cutting their long winded promos it's crying out for him to interrupt and cut them up.

I haven't picked up a WWE DVD in years, whats a good starting point?

Does anyone know when that Paul Heyman Blu-Ray is coming out?

impact was pitiful this week like usual
besides the ridiculous and embarrassing bromans/the menagerie segment

the main event was ridiculous from a booking stance, mvp looked weak as **** given he couldn't beat eric young after he was "Injured" from two previous matches earlier in the show, not to mention stupid from a character standpoint given he intentionally got disqualified when he knew if young won he could pick a stipulation for their match on sunday, what if he picked title vs career as a stipulation ? stupid

all for nothing considering mvp is out of the title match now and the main event on sunday will apparently be a triple threat cage match between young and the winners from Aries/King and Joe/Bobby, waste of tv time pushing mvp over everyone else for weeks

and they really.....really.....REALLY overuse that "Face character lures the heel into a low bridge and they fall for it" spot too often on impact

stuff like this is why tna isn't selling tickets

I'm with you, brother!

I would personally pick up Summerslam 2011.

Thanks…as far as the more "documentary" type of sets, what would you prefer? I have the WWE bug the last few weeks for some reason and I'm really getting back into it and wanted to check out some of the DVD/Blu releases...

Cm Punks doc was fantastic.

There was a Stone Cold set that came out in 2011, and Foley that came out just last year. Along with the Punk one from 2012 are all fantastic sets.

Thanks for the recommendations. Two for CM Punk, so that's a for sure to buy for me. I think that'd be a great starting point for right now. I'm a Randy Savage fan…so I'll probably pick up the Macho Madness - Randy Savage Ultimate Collection also. Any insight on this one?

What's the last one you bought?

The Rise and Fall of ECW

The Edge documentary is also excellent, that's a good one to check out as well.

I also really enjoy the documentaries that cover old territories like World Class and Mid South. One that's not WWE produced that's worth going out of your way to see is Memphis Heat.

Punks and Jericho's
Doc's are my favorites, really liked Big Show's as well.

Edit: Forgot about Mick Foley. His was awesome! Plus it came with Mr. Socko!
