Alright ... I will admit that the basic storyline looks to be an exact duplicate of the first. I figured someone would be lost, but I didn't expect them to use the whole "we've forgotten everything from last night" again.

Having said that, I think this looks hilarious, and using the same story never bothered me. I'll wait to see how it plays out. This trailer had me from the moment Alan gave his dinner speech.

I am really looking forward to this.

I'm just glad they're not losing Doug again.

I was actually surprised at how similar the story seems to be to the original. I mean I had a feeling it was going to be similar but, it almost looks like a carbon copy.

Even this trailer had the exact same comic beats as the original trailer...down to Stu's "What is going on?!"

Having said that...I had a smile whole time I watched this trailer. I don't mind if it's the same story, just do it well. :woot:

The trailer didn't do much for me, and I blame it on the people who edited this trailer for not focusing on the new jokes. Obviously this story follows the same formula as the last, but that's all it focused on.

Red band trailer with new jokes needs to be in order for next time.

Completely agree - I found myself enjoying the entire trailer.

I also find myself watching at least a part of the first one every other week it seems. Any time it is on cable, I stop and start watching ... and laughing at the same jokes I've seen a million times. I guess a similar sequel is right up my alley.

I wonder how they blacked out again. I don't think Alan would drop some drugs in their drinks a second time. Maybe it was Mr. Chow?

My guess is that Stu's fiancee's brother drugged them.

replace Doug with Stu's brother in law and the baby with a monkey

the movie seems like an exact rehash of the first just in a different place

either way, i laughing all the way through the new trailer and i will still watch the movie. it's awesome that Chow will have a bigger role this time around - "Hold on gay boys!" :woot:

Finally got around to seeing the trailer. Looks fun. Looks like The Hangover 2. I don't know what people were expecting in terms of story with a film called "The Hangover 2". I'll be there opening day!

Come on, the your hair is missing and Zach immediately grabbing his beard is enough for me to go see this movie.

EPIC! I don't care how similar the stories are I literally couldn't stop laughing at that entire trailer!

Ehhh, the first one was crap....with the rehashed plot, watching this will be like taking a crap, eating that crap, and then crapping it again.

Thanks good to know.

The fact that the basically the same crap is happening to them again is lawl-worthy.

I think it's lame how they've excluded stu again just so it would match up with the 1st movie almost exactly.

Why isn't he with them again this time?

I don't care if it's a rehash. If the jokes work, the jokes work. I liked what I saw in the trailer.

its basically the same approach what they´ve done with 'home alone 2 : lost in new york' after 'home alone'.
Take an known/successful/funny storyline and put the main characters in a situation similar to the first, change the location and tweak/alternate it here and there.

And not to put pressure on mr. phillips, but i like home alone 2 more than the first installment :D

Agreed. Like I said don't care if it's the same premise...just do it well enough that the audience will have a good time.

...and I too enjoy Home Alone 2 more than the original. :woot:

OMG I laughed so hard at the monkey screaming in terror at Stu being covered in pig's blood.

My friend is totally hyped for this, but I'm just not feeling it. I love the first Movie, but watching the Trailer I just went "Meh."

I just wanna know where Chow fits into all of this plus where the hell was Doug when he was talking to the guys on the phone? I still don't care, these guys together just work so well that this movie will at least deliver big laughs even if it is lacking in story. The Home Alone 2 comparison makes some sense, I always liked it better as well
