The official 'R' description for Hangover Part 2 is this: "pervasive language, strong sexual content including graphic nudity, drug use and brief violent images."

Hopefully Ken Jeong keeps his clothes on this time.

There's supposedly a strip club scene in the film, that'll probably have the nudity. And I'd rather see any four of the leading actors naked instead of Jeong. (Even Galifinakis is preferrable.)

Jeong's penis scarred me for life.

Sounds good to me

Never thought something that small could scar somebody for life. :hehe:

There was something very disturbing about that scene, though.

- I'm gonna guess that Teddy roofied them and is somewhere hiding. I got a "prankster" vibe from the shots they showed of him

- The monkey bj part was the least funny part to me

Ebert gave this one two stars as opposed to the three and a half he gave the first. Said it feels like they were just being edgy for the sake of it as opposed to the first one.

Well it's not getting that good of reviews.
Im trying to see which reviewers who liked the first one but then didnt like this one.

I'll go see this no matter what, but I am interested in what some of the reviewers have to say. Looks pretty good from the little bit I've seen.

Im seeing this friday morning because I have the feeling like with most comedies you'll just have to watch it and see if it resinates with you. My wife asked me which I wanted to see friday pirates 4 or this..... hangover 2 please.

So, it sounds like this movie is just a clone of the first film, only with raunchier humor. What do you guys think, was this the best way to go? Or should they have tried to do something different?

I'm on the fence on this. Granted, a lot of sequels do follow similar patterns to the first film. I think we can all agree that plenty of superhero and action films do this, and yet, somehow, the sequels can still find a way of feeling fresh. But with comedies, I think the challenge is tougher, because a joke is only funny once. An odd situation is only funny once. There have been a few comedy sequels that have worked but I think that the ones that have been successful are the ones that broke away from the pattern a bit. However, you don't want to stray too far because then it doesn't really feel like a sequel.

You can't do a sequel to the hangover and really do something different. If you expand on the first films joke, then it will probably be a decent enough sequel. Going see it Saturday.

The first one was original and kind of on the fresh side because the concept is so universal. Guys do something at night, then get hungover the next morning with no recollection of what happened. Many a group of buddies have done that, and having a movie reflect it in a cartoony manner was genius. This one seems to have gone more into cartoon-land than normal.

I think it'll be hit or miss with people. This may be the type of movie you can't see alone in the theater. Bring some friends, to may the film funnier.

I really want this one to work and I think it can. A couple of my favorite commedy sequels (Ace Venture: Nature Calls, European and Christmas Vacation) are really just a rehash of what worked in the original, so that alone doesn't necessarily scare me. All about how it is executed.

Agreed. It's reliving the theater experience of The Hangover that I want. I kinda like some sequels that are just like the original but more insane (like Crank 2, hell even Home Alone 2)

Seeing it tonight...was one of the few that didn't find anything funny about the 1st one, but I'm keeping an open mind, review will be up later this weekend!

Going to the midnight premiere tonight (or technically tomorrow morning?).

Im surprised people having come in saying: "SCREW CRITICS! WHAT DO THEY KNOW!"

There's literally nothing any critic could say to get me to not see this movie or to stop it from making a buttload of money
