Critics said Due Date sucked, and i love it.
Its gonna be the same with this film.

Surprise is the key word!

It was really fun to unravel the mystery the first time. I'll never forget that. But if this one is the exact same formula, then that element of surprise is non existent. Therefore, Hangover II may be a disappointment to many...including me.

I dont think that repeating the story is big problem0. Take 'Home Alone In NY', thats basically the exact storyline only in new york with the same villians, spooky grandpa switched with the dove woman and everything is little bit crazier (like the brick-throwing :D )... for me it works and i like that installment more than the first..

No... the saying goes, "Critics are like a**holes. They're full of sh**." :D

Saw this tonight, it was alright. Funny but all of it is been there done that and I've already gotten tired of Galafankisis' schtick. If you enjoyed the first one, I'm sure you'll like this one because it is quite funny but eh I won't be sad if I never see it again. 7/10

I'm keeping my expectations incredibly low. Then I'll probably come out liking it.

I have higher expectations because I got a couple laughs out of the trailer.

Just got back from watching this movie, it was hilarious and I loved it!

But...

It is the same formula as the first, so people expecting something different, they won't be surprised. I do like the first one better for this very reason, but still it does not take much from this one, it's very fun to watch.

Hilarious...I liked this one better only because I've been to Thailand and have been to some of the placed they have

What a waste of time... It's basically the same movie as the first one in a different and bigger city. And it wasn't very funny. I chuckled, but nothing that made me laugh out loud. And it was too long, the ending took forever. The only funny thing were the photos at the end (same formula as the first, so not really ruining anything for people).
It doesn't have the same charm as the first film.

I liked it, was it the best sequel ever? No. To me though it's just seeing these characters that make me laugh, I mean Alan is one of the most masterful comic creations in this generation of comedy film. The location is interesting in this one but the chemistry and crazy responses to what has happened to them make the film funny and give the original and in this one retreaded story new flare and exciting energy. It was going to be hard to make a sequel but I think they succeeded where your average group would have failed. 8/10 and bring on part 3.

It was okay. Going in I knew it was going to be very similar to the original but good lord...I didn't expect an almost shot for shot recreation.

It was definitely much darker and the humor was very mean spirited. I mean

What the hell did they do to Alan?! I was shocked at how they turned this naive but lovable goof into a completely psychotic a**hole.

It had it's moments but was no where near the quality of the original.

6/10

This movie was a piece of ****ing ****.

So far, the critics have been SPOT ON this year.

Only thing I disagreed with from them was Sucker Punch.

Pirates sucked, Battle LA sucked, Hangover 2 sucked....if it wasnt for Thor, this would be the worst summer ever.....

I'm banking this WHOLE summer on Transformers 3. Bay will deliver.

Saw it a couple of hours ago. Not as good as the first, but I still enjoyed it. It does follow the old sequel rule of do the same thing but bigger, so if you enjoyed the first then you should enjoy this as long as you remember that it won't feel fresh anymore.

What did surprise me though is the BBFc only gave this a 15 rating despite [BLACKOUT]the ludicrous amount of full frontal male genetalia nudity.[/BLACKOUT]

That's a harsh statement man. Technically, Pirates, and the hangover 2 are the only summer movies you named. The other ones were in March. And I respectfully disagree about Sucker Punch I thought it was a waste of time. Visually cool but ultimately garbage.

Anyway, there are alot of other summer movies coming out. X men first class, super 8, Transformers 3, Green Lantern, Captain America, Harry Potter Deathly Hallows part 2. Also Fast Five was awesome. Pirates 4 was okay not great. Battle LA was meh.

So I am still excited about the rest of the summer movies coming out this year. I will see The Hangover Part 2 Friday night!

for me may has been a mixed bag, aside from thor and hangover 2 nothing really struck me. june and july are just gonna be crazy though.

How mean is it compared to Due Date, which, for me, had about 2 movie-ruining moments?

I honestly feel sorry for the several people that go and pay whatever to see this. I was one of them, and my verdict: Save yourself money and just watch the first Hangover, it's the same story and you'll most likely be more entertained.

This is a poor excuse for a sequel, I mean, it's the EXACT same story, of course with minor details added such as there being a monkey rather than a lion and stu having a tatoo rather than a missing tooth. Just uncreative imo.

Boy, I'm glad I'm reading some of these reviews now. I was about to see it tomorrow. Looks like I'll wait.

This film is celebrated for every thing Transformers is crucified for...minus the fanboy factor.

never ceases to amazing me.

Looks like it's paying for Kung Fu Panda 2 and theatre hopping into this one.
