very excited for this, i really am afraid i'll be let down. disappointed to see stu not with the girl from the first film (the hooker) but i'm over it. i didnt think i was going to really laugh at the first and i own it now, i love it. and its not a stupid dumb funny movie, its actually well paced and through through very well, it'll stand on its own for a very very long time, its not stuck in a certain era or anything. this one looks to be promising and im glad there isnt much shown for this one yet because i'll definetly be going to see this

Instead of Doug getting lost. Stu loses his future brother in law.
It could be funny. But really it just looks like a retread of the first and even the jokes didnt look that funny. We'll see

I think the fact that it is the same story in a different location is what makes this one look like so much fun. Just the idea that it happened again to these guys is so much fun.

On one hand, yes it's fun to see this group caught in this kind of crap, but at the same time it feels so uninspired/unoriginal to use the same kind of premise.

I felt mixed watching the trailer.

You don't find the "can't remember anything" scenario a teeny bit uninspired? Just because you're hungover, doesn't mean you completely lose your memory.

The guys are what make this the Hangover movie ..... it still could've been plenty funny sans the recycled reason they got where they are.

Honestly I dont know what other storyline they couldve used. I was one of the people who thought a sequel wasnt that good of an idea because it would be the same thing. Sequels your supposed to do things different not keep the same premise
If it gets decent reviews Ill still see it in theaters. And even if the reviews are bad Ill still see it on DVD

I see what your saying Rock but I feel that there was no other way you could go about the Sequel personally. I'm sure there are other ways but like you say the guys are what made the first movie and it looks like to me they will do the same with this one. These three guys are hilarious when put togethor and then you add the fact that the same thing happened AGAIN to the, I think only adds to the humor. Then again we may just have different tastes.

People who loved the first film will end up loving this one just because they're already sided with it.

I feel the overrated in the air, but the first is a good comedy and film.

I do think it's overrated. SOme people call it the best comedy ever.

ANd idk some of the other ideas Ive read like them being drugged and kindnapped from America to Thailand seems better than them (seemingly) recycling the old formula

The trailer had me laughing from beginning to end. I don't mind that it's essentially the same story if it delivers the goods.

I never heard about the kidnapping plot but that could of worked too.

I liked the trailer, obviously they were gonna go with a similar storyline for the sequel and I dont mind it at all as long as it isnt a scene for scene retread. Im curious if we get an explanation on what happened to the heather graham character and if the dan band will sing another hit for us.
Having said that, I kinda get alittle ticked that we get a hangover 2 before we get a old school 2.

The Naked Gun 2 was a rehash of the Naked Gun, stupid cop bumbles his way through stopping an evil plot. Back to the Future II, essentially the same as Back to the Future, Marty effs up the timeline and has to fix it. American Pie 2, pretty much the same as American Pie, guys try to get laid again.

All are good movies. All are funny. That is because they do not leave their original premise. This looks funny to me. Besides, The Hangover was not a winner solely because it was funny. It was a good movie because it had endearing characters with whom the audience could relate and cheer for. I am interested in seeing these characters again. It is a similiar premise, but again, what sequel isn't? It looks funny to me and that's all I can ask for.
