Too bad. Hangover 2 was total trash. I heard nothing but good things about Panda.

Oh indeed. It's such a messed up system.

I like the idea of a ratings system...but they have to be consistant.

Lesbian sex??? OH HELLLL NO!

Penises? Yeah, sure.

I'm actually shocked The Hangover 2 cost 80 mil to make...not that it matters, it's on its way to being ahuge money maker for WB.

What gets me is...okay, 250mil budget for Pirates 4? Why? Cuase they shooting at sea? Depp? CGI? Jesus...they couldn't make it for 200million?

What I would Do?

Summer Blockbusters capped at $200 million budgets.

Actors/Actresses capped at $10 million salaries per movie (but can still get bonuses and etc like they now do) Maybe a few exceptions could be made...Adam Sandler and Will Smith are money, so I don't see a big deal with them getting more per movie.

I would save the TV DayTime soap industry, but possibly reduce it to a seasonal format, or 3 new episodes a week, or a combo of the first two. No daytime soaps is bad for Hollywood. What is happening to the soaps is happening to scripted tv on networks during primetime. TOO MANY REALITY TV SHOW!!! :cmad:

I would keep dvd's and blu-rays around, but embrace digital. And I hate digital...

Actually, Pirates 4 looked, and felt like a 80 million dollar movie. Cheap. Ugly. And boring.

I have to wonder when exactly did the flaccid penis become such a popular R rated visual gag.

Pirates 4 was pretty lackluster

It was poorly directed.

I DO NOT understand why anyone thinks any of these movies will be decent.

Fast Five, Transformers 2, Transporter 3, Pirates 4, Saw20, Remake No124 ...... They suck and people act suprised... that they suck.

Really? You thought Bradley Copper was funny? He is cool but he doesn't really have many funny lines. Ed Helms and Galifianakis and Chow are the ones that provide most of the laughs.

Bradley's character is kind of the glue that holds it all together. I thought he was really amusing at the dentist office and Ihop. From there it's like Zack and Helms takeover. Chow kind of annoys me but he had some better liens this time.

Do people still like Adam Sandler? His movies are nothing but garbage anymore and I feel he's just not funny anymore and hasn't been for a long time. Grown Ups was trash and the list goes on.

Here's a quote I put in another thread. It describes one part of the movie that really pissed me off.

Teddy wasn't pissed that he lost a finger! He lost a f**king finger. How could you be so chill when you lost your finger. I don't care how much "fun" you had and you couldn't remember, if you lose your finger and you play the cello and you wanted to be a surgeon, you should be pissed and panicking. He was too chill about it!

Rare, angry rant over

My problem with the movie i that it feels a bit more mean-spirited than the first one. The first one was more about three guys bonding through this experience and it was more fun than harmful. This one was a bit more messed up:

The worst thing that happened to them in the first one was getting tazed and scratched by a tiger. In part II, a guy O'D and most the movie you thought he was dead. Phil was shot, and the worst case was Teddy.

This movie sucked. I regret paying for this and I say this as a huge fan of the first movie. I love that movie. Worst movie of the summer so far.

4/10

7/10

Other than the scene with the
tranny and cooper´s character getting shot
this movie was not as funny as the first one, sure i got a few chuckles but part 1 had me in stitches.

This was like Guy Ritchie's Hangover almost.

My entire theater this afternoon was full and there were maybe 4 or 5 laughs and after it was over...almost everyone was talking about how it sucked...which it did. High expectations for this to be funny and it was a complete letdown. It's the first movie all over again but way less funny because it is all the same jokes all the revelations and shock moments are all expected. Bleh. Also..why in the hell would that awesomely hot Asian chick, can't think of her name, be with a 50 year old Stu? Teddy doesn't care he got his finger cut off? Also...the cameos sucked. Who the **** was the tattoo artist? I don't care. Mike Tyson again? Not funny. Paul Giamatta? Lame. Bleh bleh bleh.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is better, just because.

This movie sucked in every single way possible, and it's pretty much one of the worst movies the year. Not THE but, one of the.

I wouldn't say that. So far out of the movies I have seen this year I would say Sucker Punch is a easy contender for worst movie this year. At least this movie was decent entertainment. Sucker Punch on the other hand, was just terrible. It made little sense, terrible acting, and overly long. Yea the fantasy scenes were visually cool but pointless. Which basically sums up Sucker Punch, pointless. The critics hit it on the head with that movie.

Anyway, lol I think I might see this again on Sunday with some family members.

I liked it.

I think anyone who bashes it for sticking to a formula and then goes to praise all the superhero origin stories, or films like Terminator 2 and Die Hard 2 is being a massive hypocrite.

If you're going to bash it, do so for the multitude of jokes that fell flat.

Are you serious? Fast Five was awesome and was well received by critics and audiences.

They were being facetious . There's a stigma with sequels and remakes regardless how well some do.

I was bored with it. I really liked the first one, but this was such a retread there was nothing new or exciting. I laughed a couple of times (the mushroom joke with Chow took a minute to set in), but I couldn't go over how they could still be friends with Alan like others have said. He went from being somewhat misunderstood and loveable to just an *******. And I was more disturbed that the little brother lost his finger and they didn't even acknowledge his career was a surgeon and possibly cellist is pretty much over.

I think that's why Teddy was glad he lost his finger. His father was so controlling and domineering that he planned Teddy's life all out for him. With his injury taking that away from him, Teddy is completely free to choose his own path.

I give it a solid 8/10. Thought this was as good as the first one, which I really loved. I honestly think people are getting too caught up in the same storyline hate, because it did not affect my enjoyment at all. The characters are fully aware that similar circumstances are repeating, and that's one thing to me that I found funny because Phil, Stu, and Alan really grew on me during the first. Seeing them in this environment and re-testing their relationships was interesting and I can't wait to see them in The Hangover Pt. III

I was laughing throughout the entire thing. There was tons of laughter in the audience, but I'm sure there was some, like in this thread, that did not like it. It's a shame that not every one can enjoy it, because it really is a great sequel.
