BvS Hans Zimmer & Tom Holkenborg scoring Batman v Superman - Part 2

I downloaded my copy (legally)

So I'm listening to the OST on Spotify and it's definitely ambient, but I'm upset that Hans Zimmer's Superman theme isn't more prominent. I need to wait to see the context of the music within the whole film. Does anyone know if the deluxe version features a full suite for Superman?

Nope.

BvS score is definitely Batman-heavy. And overall MoS score is still superior.

How about that "This Is My World", though?

It sounds... very... haunting.......... and mournful. :csad:

Just got my physical copy of the BvS soundtrack, can't wait to give it a listen.

"Do You Bleed" is my new workout theme!

Driving home with "Their War Here' blasting and I just felt like Bruce Wayne zipping around during the Black Zero event. I mean, I obeyed all stop signs and I'm fat, but besides that....just like Bruce Wayne.

Also, I love Luthor's theme. You can almost feel the two layers of the character. It starts out rather whimisical but then you get deeper and more menacing.

Day of the Dead sounds like the best and worst parts of being Superman in music form.

That's all I've listened to so far.

Fight Night is incredible. Black and Blue is deffo the BvS fight we heard some of it in that clip. I guess we can assume the fight is 10mins or so. Which is great. I just hope it isn't interrupted like Batman v Bane Round 2 in TDKR.

Also my copy arrived with a mini poster wasn't expecting that :)

Do You Bleed? sounds like Mad Max made love to a DC comics movie.

Is that the 2 Disc edition at £12.99 on Amazon UK? Think I might pick it up next week.

I know its only the soundtrack and theres no context for it yet but...the way "This is My World" sounds is scaring the **** out of me for the ending to this movie...

Got the two disc set today. Listening to it right now. :D "Tuesday" halfway through gets intense. I think it may have been discussed here, but Tuesday sounds a lot like Doomsday, and the origin of the word is "god of war and sky." Pretty cool.

Bring some tissues.

Wal-Mart had the physical cd listed as $16 when I picked it up today. Got to the checkout and it rang up as $14 so that was pretty sweet. I've been listening to the tracks since last week when they were leaked but it's good to have them officially now. I love Red Capes Are Coming, Day of the Dead, Problems Up Here and Must There Be A Superman. It's definitely Batman heavy as many have mentioned already though I imagine that was expected. MoS is a hard soundtrack to top in my opinion so I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this one without trying to compare it. I do miss Flight and What Are You Going To Do When You're Not Saving the World pieces as was also mentioned. I wish Zimmer would have incorporated the heroic parts of those in here somewhere. Can't wait to hear these in the film!

I have been listening to the score pretty much all day. And after my first full listen I have to say the score is a solid 3 out of 5. The best or most memorable song is "the red capes are coming". If this is Lex's theme then this works perfectly for him. Overall the themes of batman, superman, and wonder woman don't seem to mesh well. I'm not sure what it is when the score works it is great but its few and far between. There also seems to be a lack of focus maybe they need one person to do the score going forward.

I now want to see the movie so I can see how the score is with the action going on around it. But I feel that this will be a score that is a fun listen but won't be one that we remember down the road.

I'm dying for a Batman mix! Vigilante, Do You Bleed, New Rules and Men Are Still Good.

I agree. Zimmer didn't do the Batman bits out of respect to Chris Nolan and unfortunately this seems as though it's more a Batman film that Superman one. Everything that's obviously Zimmer like the Wonder Woman, Lex and MOS bits are the strongest part of the soundtrack. The rest sounds like generic epic music from a computer game. Nothing sticking out as memorable as The Dark Knight Trilogy, MOS, Inception or Interstellar.

Water Tower Music just uploaded the entire soundtrack to its youtube channel.

Never quite got the logic of this in terms of helping sales, but there we go.

They uploaded it yesterday. Been listening to it non stop.

Fantastic score.

I listened to it in it's entirety. I'm partial to the Man of Steel score for obvious reasons, but I thought this one was very good. You could hear where Zimmer's and Junkie's styles clashed and it made for some really good ear-crack. Definitely buying a hard copy.
