Happy Feet Two!

'' The Master of Tap, has a problem because his tiny son Erik is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven - a penguin who can fly!! Mumble has no hope of competing with this charismatic new role model. But things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces. Erik learns of his father's 'guts and grit' as Mumble brings together the penguin nations and all manner of fabulous creatures - from tiny Krill to giant Elephant Seals - to put things right.''

MEH

If you didn't smile at least once during that thing, you have no soul.

That teaser is awful. Liked the first one though.

I was actually looking forward to this, but the teaser almost completely destroyed my anticipation towards it.

However, because I enjoyed the first movie and its soundtrack (using songs from both Queen and The Beatles is a big plus in my book), I'm still a bit curious to see this.

A SEQUEL? REALLY?! It looks really outdated with those songs, too. Ugh.

if they were really smart........they'd call it Two Happy Feet :oldrazz:

I absolutely hated the first movie,I don't understand the love for this franchise.

Its the penguins. Everyone loves penguins.

"What's wrong with yo feets?"
"Theys be happy, papa...Too!"

I wonder if this one will be hijacked by a broad environmental message to bash us upside the head with.

why is it that anything with an environmental message is automatically dubbed ham fisted?

I don't automatically dub anything with an environmental message as ham fisted. In fact most of the time I have no problem with any filmmaker putting some kind of message in their films, provided they don't do it at the cost of telling a story.

This is why I hate Happy Feet. Through the first half of it, the movie was about being yourself and accepting other's differences. Then it became, "STOP FISHING! THE PENGUINS ARE STARVING!"

The story, the characters, and whatever feelings we had for them, all became secondary to the message, which for me doesn't equal good storytelling. I respect the movie's intentions, but I thought the execution could've been handled better.

but didn't they allude to it throughout the entire film? the reason for the food scarcity, and then mumble getting blamed for it as some kind of religious omen, the skua who got "abducted", the crane causing that avalanche...ect. the movie was obviously building up to something involving the human effect on Antarctica, so that was its natural climax, and the whole message didn't take a back seat to the 'save the environment' one, mumble, by "being himself" as you put it, drew the humans attention to their actions, saving emperor land or whatever the penguins called their home.

Watching the teaser during Potter was so horrible.
