Harpers Island

I didn't know CBS had something to do with this show.
Thanks for filling me in.

Yeah....CBS airs it here in the States. Rather they produced it I don't know...but they are the network that aired it here.

OMFG! I didnt want her to die! What a sucky way to do it to. 3rd best death in the show. To bad she couldnt live to beat him sensless.

One more hour to go then its bye bye Harpers Island :(

Cant wait to watch the entire series together on dvd. I hope they leave out the recaps though.

I like the recaps. Exciting.

The recaps are nice when you are watching one episode a week but when you hit that play all button on the dvd, I rather just get straight into the episode, gives it more of an impact.

Well its offically over :(

GREAT mini series, so sad to see it end. I really hope CBS is smart and lets this team come back with another mini series next summer or whenever. Would love to see what kind of horror mystery they could come up with next.

And glad we got atleast one couple to survive.

Holy crap! What a finish!

Oh and...

:lmao:

I freakin' knew it was Henry from the first episode!

I gotta say it...Henry was one cool character (although evil and twisted).

Ummm....can't wait to buy the dvd 3 days after my 22nd B-day (dvd date is 9.8.09)

Sucks that Sully didn't make it through. No explanation from Henry why he killed his cousin Ben in the first eppy or really Hunter. Wonder what Wakefield though of the fight Shane put up, considering Danny put up a better fight and Wakefield tells Henry 'He didn't embrassass himself.'

Wonder if Abby and Jimmy will tell the world what happened. That Henry was Wakefield's lost son and etc?

I give the entire series a B+. Could have been a bit longer....Henry's motive for it all was kinda not good, although it made sense.

There were no hard evidence that it was Henry in the first eppy. Hell, he really had one hell of a excuse for it not to be him as the second killer. But at the same time, he was never really in any danger...throughout the mini-series. And he did show signs of aggrasive.

And yes, I remember the fake text he got from Uncle Marty earlier on. That didn't prove anything back then really, other than making you go 'Hmmmm....'

Good first hour. Second hour kind of nosedives, but it's really hard to tell a good reveal anymore. I get the filling that the earlier murders were ambiguous since the writers probably had a couple of candidates to be the killer so there is a bit of "that person was killed just because" as an explanation.

Wakefield took all that punishment and the [BLACKOUT] non-Crocadile Dundee knife[/BLACKOUT] is the weapon? Lame. The the [BLACKOUT]murder in the police station, the guy should have just knocked the whatever the needle thing is called away with his hand[/BLACKOUT]

I didn't go on evidence ETM. I picked the killer from the beginning. I went with 'who would be the most shocking'...turns out my hunch was right.

I would like to see CBS, or whoever produces this, do more "mini-events" in the future.

He must have had a serious mental breakdown when he discovered he was adopted and who his real dad was because talk about going to extremes. And he was a good actor to pretend to love all of his friends who he grew up with (im surprised it was so easy for him to let them all die so esaily since he grew up with them all)

And what kind of horror mini would everyone want to see if CBS comes back with this next summer?

One that was more along the lines of a classic whodunit, like Christies "And Then There Were None". This one started out that way, but turned into more of a slasher flick.

Me too, and from the same team (Directors, producers, writers. :o maybe they can re-use some of the actors or somehow tie it into Harper's Island. Like this 'Hey...what happening here reminds me of that Harper's Island thing last year.'

Damn Straight he was a good actor to pull all of that off. He was twisted...even killed his father,...wow.

And when Sully tells Henry that the two left the island and he didn't go...wow, you could tell that henry was impressed and also thinking 'You should left too, cause now you're dead.'

Your sarcasm isn't needed. I wasn't saying it because I wanted to brag. I said it because I thought it was funny.

I liked the series, but I kinda wish it wasn't Henry. It was the most obvious choice to everyone. Especially when he left Trish to go outside.

Poor Trish though.

And Eww Incest he knew Abby was his half sister. And still wanted to you know.:csad:

I also liked the video at the end. and it ending on Henry in pause mode was creepy.

I thought that was really well done.

And she wasn't that hot either :wow:

But Trish, wow

I would have thought twice about killing that

I know right?

But Crazy people do crazy things.

But then again I've had a crush on Katie Cassidy(Trish) for a while now.:yay:

Seeing Trish die in her wedding dress..at the hands of her fiance was just so sad. Espically since she had survived dieing for so long. I was really hoping she would survive.

But Katie Cassidys acting has improved so much since I first saw her on Supernatural.

Yeah, Trish was way hotter than Abby. Abby was cute, Trish was like a sexbomb.

Christopher Gorham that plays Henry will be 35 this year! What is kinda creep, but cool, is that Katie Cassidy that played Trish is 23 this year.

And the chick that plays Abby is Irish and has a cute accent.

Wow...he doesn't look 35. Then again, Katie Cassidy didn't seem that young either. I thought they were both in their late 20's.

Oh man, what a great ending. I guess I over thought it in thinking that JD was some how alive. I suppose I just didn't want it to be Henry, but his turn to evil was really well written and well acted. You could just believe that he was a total psychopath. His feelings for his sister were...unsettling but fit well with the sheer insanity of the character. It would've been easy to go over the top but Gorham played it incredibly subdued and it turned out really well.

On top of that, I thought the ending was a bit cliche. Not the video, but Trish's ending, riding away with Jimmy on the boat. I would've preferred for it to fade right after she killed Henry and go into the videoes (which was a really creepy an dunsettling way to end the series).

Its ashame that CBS is not bringing it back (9 million viewers not enough for a end of the season filler on the most competitive night of the week? Oy!). Hopefully another network sees the potential of the creative team and lets them do a mystery event for them.

I guess I'm in the minority, but what an absolutely HORRIBLE ending. I saw that coming from a mile away.

It's been weeks since the show even hit 7 million viewers a show.

0.9 for 18-49 rating, with a 3 share. Viewers Live+SD was 3.84. CBS gave up too early on the show...Thursday would have been better. Hopefully dvd sales rock, cause they are putting everything on it.
