Harpers Island

I've lost interest since Wakefield surfaced. It's just like any other slasher movie

...you expected it to be different? It's basically a horror movie cliche made for tv.

Yeah I expected it to be different.

I didn't expect a Freddie/Jason/Michael Myers ripoff. I expected something along the lines of "And Then There Was None".

Yeah, how dare they try to surprise us and do something unexpected, to toy with the horror conventions, the series is flirting with since day one?! :whatever:

Nice smart ass comment. Go someplace else and bag on someone for having a different opinion than you

I can understand your view point. The premise was like that. Then Wakefield turns out to be alive. Only good thing about Wakefield is that he seems to be a force you don't want to get in the way and the actor that plays him is good. And Shane's fight. That was good tv right there. He went down swingin, but struck out...:csad:twice.

Another thing

I have never seen people with shot guns that are as bad as shots as these folks.

You can't just pick up a gun and fire. Not that easy. Hell, I only know how to shoot from arcade games, but I can assume shooting a real gun is different. Granted I pretty much now how to hold a gun (so it doesn't kick back towards you.) but still.

But you're missing one thing

A shot gun has a spray pattern, meaning it has a larger AOE than a rifle.

Gah!

I was hoping Cal & Chloe would survive.

Dammit. I dont know if Sully and Danny are gonna live, but I hope one of them injures Wakefield if they are going to die. Maybe take an eye.

Im having doubts about Jimmy being Wakefields accomplice now too. It's looking a little too obvious. He's the only one currently alive who fits the bill though.

Henry.

The killer uses letters to scare his victims, Henry wrote a very similar one to test Trish.

Henry didn't take at shot a Wakefield, although he was shown as being a great marksman earlier.

When Trish was almost drowned, he magically appeared just after Richard saved her.

Henry was the one, who decided to marry on Harper's Island

The only person that Wakefield didn't attack in the show right now, is Henry.

Henry was there, when JD was killed and he was covered in blood...and it was never explained. He just said he found him. Yet he would leave his brother to bleed to death there? Only to return when Abby finds him?

He has a violent streak. He attacked Shane. He tried to lure Trish to Hunter's room in the hotel, and we don't know what would have happened if she went inside. He hid in Hunter's closet with a freaking knife! He was the only one who knew Hunter was leaving other than Thomas. And the killer left a shotgun trap on the boat Hunter used.

We know he was there, on the island before, as a worker on the Wellington's boat.

Now watch me, being completely wrong July 9! :D But after last episode, they pratically said it was Jimmy. He's obviously just a red herring. Or it was the big reveal and I just didn't realize it.

Poor Cal. Really thought he might make it through. What a bloodbath that episode turned out to be.

I know it has been pointed out already, but seriously, what the hell is wrong with Trish and that damn shotgun? Even if she can't aim, she can sure walk the hell up to him and fire. Instead, she just leaves Shane to get gutted. Makes me wonder why the hell they even gave her the gun in the first place.

Jimmy remains way too obvious. Smart money is on Henry. Ridiculous one in a million bet is still Sully. Even if it wouldn't make any sense.

Ok, from the beginning I've been thinking Jimmy is somehow involved. Just the fact that he just popped in from time to time and seemed so nice...too nice.

But now that we are being slapped in the face in all of the promos that he could possibly be the accomplice I don't think he is.

Which leads me back to my only other candidate Henry. And now after seeing it broken down in your post it is making even more sense. Now just to figure out why he is doing it should it be him.

It's going to be along two weeks until the finale.

Yeah, the more I think about it it just doesn't seem to be Jimmy. We all knew JD and the Sheriff were red herrings and now Jimmy looks like he is getting the same treatment. My early choice was Henry, but I still can't come up with a good motive for Henry. Yet, I'm starting to lean towards him. Sully seemed a little "off" last episode, but if he was an accomplise he has had countless opportunities to kill Danny, Trish, etc. and he could have left Cal to die from his gun wound instead of patching him up.

I'm on the ffence, but because of the promos, I might be leaning back towards Henry, I guess.

Henry is just as obvious by the merit of not being obvious. My money is on JD being alive and having convinced Cal to help him stage his death to smoke out the killer ala the doctor and judge in And Then There Were None.

I agree. The people of Harper's Island are making the Stormtroopers of Star Wars look like crack shots! :funny:

Okay, this might seem a little off topic. But for anyone who watches WWE wrestling. Don't you think the Actor that plays Sully looks alot like Jack Swagger?

You may be giving this show too much credit. ;)

We had 11 hours of clues pointing to Henry and 2 weeks to discuss all of it. Of course, we figured it out. :woot:

I just watched last weeks episode and it was very good and heartbreaking. Cal and Chloe probably had the best deaths out of everyone so far. Though there is a slim chance that Chloe could still be alive which I wouldnt mind but if that is her death scene then it was the best one.

I hope Canada airs it tonight so I can watch it tomorrow. They should have made this into a 2hour finale instead of trying to stretch it out and give us a break right at the last episode. Thats just stupid scheduling right there.

But since CBS basically looked at this show as a lost cause, I doubt they care about the ratings all that much.

And I cant believe they recast so many charecters and so late into shooting just so they could reshoot what seems to be the majority of the series. I hope that makes it onto the dvd, would be a shame if it didnt. Now the next mystery is why did they recast so many of the cast? Bad test reviews maybe?

Well, I'm a fan of the current cast. I would though like to see the other cast on the dvd.

The Forgotten on ABC is going through recasts. Christian Slater will now be the lead in the show.

Can someone explain what all this recasting talk is about? I haven't heard anything about recasting, and why would they? The series is over, and there won't be another season. If anyone could explain I would appreciate it.
