now i don't mean norman osborn is dead though in the latest avengers

he becomes a super adaptoid gets uber powered and then brain farts and goes into a coma

what i mean has marvel making norman such a much bigger some would say on a doom level class of villain, have they totally killed off the idea of him returning to his green goblin persona

there was that sweet issue of thunderbolts a few years back but thats counter balanced with again stuff like the latest avengers where he is asked does he want to becoming the goblin again which he just scoffs at

so do you think marvel has removed osborn so much from concept of the goblin

You won't see the Green Goblin in the foreseeable future as far as I'm concerned. Marvel seems to like him as Norman Osborn - the major player/villain in a suit as opposed to Norman Osborn - The Green Goblin. I'm sure he'll go back to GG when Marvel feels his current direction runs stale.

Yeah, Osborn just doesn't fit GG format anymore but I did like how they tried to keep GG alive in form of an organization linked to HAMMER while Norman was in prison. Who ever was affiliated with the organization wore a GG tattoo. I guess that storyline kinda fizzled out when Norman broke out of jail but it had potential.

Or they feel it's time for Norman to return to ruining Peter Parker's life. :oldrazz:

I kinda wish they could find a happy medium and make the Green Goblin an A-List villain with a significant power boost but it would never work. The Goblin peaked when he was used as a ghost that haunted Peter throughout the 80's-early 90's.

Eh, I actually don't mind his as is. There are plenty of other goblin characters out there, and if he has to be alive, he should keep his status as Insane Lex Luthor. I mean, he is a guy who probably would have been a serial killer regardless of getting powers, has a history of leading cult like groups/organizations, and has a psychopathic desire for wealth and power. At this point, it would be a step down for him to throw on a goblin costume. Looking like that and flying on a glider throwing pumpkins works when its him vs Spider-Man works, but if he's taking on Iron Man or the Avengers it's dumb.

And when he's got on the Iron Patriot armor he looked odd fighting Spider-Man. It's a no win situation unless you keep him in a suit and tie, right now that's what works.

Norman Osborn should just disappear for 10 years..overexposed

I was digging Norman from the T-Bolts up to SIEGE. Once again they have no clue what to do with him just like when he came back at the end of the Clone Saga, they had no idea what to do with him then.

He needs a break anyway. Let him stay as a puddle of goo, or in a coma or wherever he is for at least 10 years. ten real years.

Marvel wants Olsborne to be Marvel's Lex Luthor...so GG is buy buy.

Unless some Green Goblin cultist takes up the costume. I remember Vin Gonzalez from ASM had the GG tattoo and was working under Osborn. That has to go somewhere.

Anyway, I'm fine with Hobgoblin being the only goblin, but fear that Phil's whole "I'm a villain just to get the girl" schtick has run its course.

Hobby has totally dropped of the grid in ASM. You don't even see Phil and Norah anymore.

Norman going back to GG is like Kingpin going back to being a bodyguard or going on the corner pedelling drugs. It's beneath him now especially since he has experience all types of powers since his resurrection. I believe he will bestowe the mantle on one of his offsprings (Harry or Menace Jr.) or even Vin Gonzalez.

its still a shame though when they brought harry back i really wanted to see norman snap and become gg, where as harry becomes the goblin again to put him down

How the f*** did Osborn [blackout]become a Super-Adaptoid[/blackout]?

Yeah, Phil just kind of fell off the face of the earth. I was really enjoying that sub plot with Phil. The last time I saw him was in Spider-Island.

As far as Norah goes she's been appearing in the Punisher. However, she hasn't appeared in the last three issues as they've been focusing on this new woman character and her interaction with Punisher.

I think Norah was just being used as a device to move the development of Rachel Coles-Alves along. I don't expect her back in the book anytime soon.

Maybe if the title doesn't get cancelled, she'll pop up to check on what Rachel's been doing after a few months of "punishing".

Rachel's f***ing awesome. I hope she sticks around for a while. I'm more interested in her and Frank's developing relationship than anything else in the series so far.

I'm curious if they end up going that route. Ennis did the same thing in MAX. Frank hooked up with a chick just as messed up as he was and they had a kid.

i dont mind him just being norman but wish they would keep him a spider-man villain or atleast have spider-man be the one that stops him when he goes up against avengers. I mean he is alays having face time with these other Avengers like Luke and Cap while spider-man just sits in the back round and makes immature jokes. Of course that may be more of my anger on how much a waste it is the way they are writing spider-man as a avenger

Read Carnage USA. Zeb Wells is actually having Spider-Man take the lead with the Avengers because they're fighting Carnage there. Makes sense.
