Colonel Mustard, in the office, with the iron

I loved crazy Michael Shannon! That was an awesome scene.

Only two people could ever pull off crazy and that's Michael Shannon and Nic Cage. :o:woot:

Oh, I dunno. Gary Oldman in the Professional was quite amazing. :)

What happened tonight?! The preview for next week's episode looks like Nucky is gonna be in some BIG trouble.

Odd question but does anyone know the name of the game Nucky was playing before Chalky came into his office?

so long Owen. who didn't see this one coming?

Yeah, didn't think it would happen this soon. But once Luciano made his deal with Masseria and leaned in to give him the info he had, I had a feel Owen was going in this episode. Once I saw the crate, I knew he was in it.

Interesting way to play it anyway, to kill him off screen. It was probably done that way so the audience couldn't anticipate Margaret's reaction. Bit of a waste to be honest as I could care less about Margaret at this stage and find it hard to feel sorry for her.

I think it would have been much better to show us what happened, they set the stage perfectly with the scene they did show us of Owen and the FBI guy walking in as there was a fantastic foreboding atmosphere. It really could have been an epic scene. I'm actually really pissed off about it the more I think about it now. :o

Owens death was so sudden. One minute he was arriving at a train station the next he was in a cargo box.

I thought his character deserved a more glorious death scene.

Also, Nucky has to realize that Margaret had an affair with Owen from her passionate response to his death.

Yeah I'd say he did, I think he'll consider killing her, only for her to reveal that she's pregnant. For all the bad things Nucky has done, I can't see him murdering a pregnant woman.

Or...Nucky like an idiot will not realise she had an affair. Margaret will realise her life is in danger if Nucky finds out that she did have an affair so seduces Nucky and has sex with him, and tells him the baby is his.

Or....she gets the doctor dude to help her get rid of the baby.

Nucky definitely realized something wasnt right about her reaction. When she fell to the floor and started touching owen and crying nucky had this look of realization. Then when she starts smacking him and storms off you can see it in his face. He knows there was something going on behind his back because when he saw them together it was formal and did not indicate a closeness between the two.

I knew it was coming but it still pissed me off. :(

I can just see him getting all pissy about it even though he was doing the same thing behind her back. Like it's always okay when a guy does it but never the wife. :(

I knew it was coming, but I too was sad to see Owen go. The last of the likable gangsters besides Rothstein.

Also, I am getting really tired of seeing Gyp needlessly and brutally murder people for no reason. Great episode though and it really ratcheted up the tension.

the scene with van alden and capone made my night. a chalky/rothstein scene would make me a happy camper.

Owen didn't last long, did he? That's what you get for being overconfident though. Should have taken at least 3 other men with him.

I'm surprised Gyp hasn't kicked a puppy on screen yet.

They are doing their damndest to make him a caricature. I know there were violent gangsters but this man is the most ignorant angry man ive ever seen on tv. I just want to smack him and tell him to get over himself

I was really happy with the reveal of Owen's death. Would it have been cool to see him go down in a blaze of glory? Sure, but I don't think it would have been as shocking. I honestly thought the thing in the crate was going to be the guy Nucky sent to Tabor Heights, or some other mangled associate -not Owen. My shock was further compounded when they showed the rest of Owen and Margret's conversation, very well done indeed.

Van Alden's story arc just continues to be awkwardly hilarious. He's completely shifted into a likeable character that the audience absolutely roots for.

Great to see Harrow, I loved it when he took his mask off.

Gyp is something out of Goodfellas and I love it.

You know what i just didn't ever really see what owen saw in margaret? Maybe it's my own bias against her?

I originally thought he just wanted to do her as a kick out of doing the boss's wife or something but i don't know i just never got a real lover vibe between them. I would have picked katie...

I wish Owen would have survived so he could take Margaret out of the show. She gets on my nerves.
