Heavenly Sword showcased in London - Click this-

This is the first and last time I order from Familyvideo.com. I got to purchase the game for $46 but they are taking way too long to ship. Good thing I have Warhawk to keep me busy or else Id be more p-ssed

I wonder what they'll do for an HS sequel.

WARNING, MAJOR HS SPOILERS BELOW! DO NOT CLICK UNLESS YOU WANT HS'S ENDING RUINED!

I WARNED YOU! THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE IF YOU DON'T WANT THE ENDING SPOILED!

[BLACKOUT]Okay, so since the Raven god abandoned Bohan, I think we've seen the last of him as an antagonist. But the Raven god is still at large, so obviously someone is gonna have to open up a can later on.

And though Nariko died in HS, I doubt we've seen the last of her. She's too cool of a character to leave dead, and I don't think they'd go the rocky road of making you play as someone else. I think that Heavenly Sword II will take place hundreds of years after the first game, when the Raven god has made a new covenant with a new villain. Nariko, after centuries of slumber, is reincarnated to claim the Heavenly Sword and destroy the Raven god.[/BLACKOUT]

My biggest hope is that they make the game a heckuvalot longer. And I think that the best way to do that would be to break up the pace a little with some non-combat gameplay. Personally, I felt like Heavenly Sword could have benefited greatly from some Prince of Persia esque platform jumping in between skirmishes. Nariko is a highly acrobatic character, so it was a little disappointing that they kept her fastened to the ground in HS. If they could work in some good acrobatic exploration elements into the game without detracting from the combat, it would be awesome.

But the argument there would be that it would be just another PoP. In a sense I like the direction of HS but I agree without platforming the game is substantially shorter. Maybe a third character or additional characters could definitely help lengthen the game. I was actually wondering if you play as Shen or so on.

I'm finally fighting the Raven King...I have to say this game would make an AWESOME movie. The Flying Fox fight was also soooo very cool...

So what do you guys think the replay value is? Do you see yourself coming back and playing this three or more times? I played RE4, Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance, and GOW five or more times each, so that gives you a hint about my gaming preferences.

YEAH, I'M ACTUALLY REPLAYING THE LEVELS TO TRY AND GET ALL THE GLYPHS, I'M ONLY MISSING A FEW TO UNLOCK THE FANTASTIC ART WORK!!! I WILL BE REPLAYING THE WHOLE STORY BECAUSE I REALLY ENJOY THE CHARACTERS AND IT'S JUST A BEAUTIFUL GAME!!!:D:up:

still haven't picked this up yet, maybe I'll rent it to save some money (college student, need it for beer)

Same hear dude. I won't be getting a PS3 for at LEAST eight months or so. By then I can buy FNR3, Motorstorm, and Resistance for $30 each, and MGS4 for $60. Damn, I'll need to save $650(or a reasonable $550 if the $400 is real) for all that!!! Maybe just MGS4 then...

I still haven't picked up Heavenly Sword yet, but I will pretty soon.

I have to say the PS3 is showing a technical superiority over the 360, and pretty early in its lifespan to.

I rented it to save money since its suppose to be beatable rather quickly, but it is an amazing game

I really hope I can get a 720p enabled TV at some point in the future. :(

LOL why does this seem to be a recurring theme in recent games?

They've got to release a ****tier version of the RE games, Jill just doesn't get em out enough. :(

I think that the aftertouch is the best use of the sixaxis other than Warhawk

Indeed. The sniping sections were a lot of fun. Well, except for the first one, because it was near impossible to hit anything using aftertouch in that one.

I don't know, I haven't gotten a chance to replay it yet. :p

Just a rumor at this point but it looks like this series might not be dead. It could potentially get a sequel acccording to PSX Extreme but developer is unknown. Ive always wanted to see it revived and for Sony Santa Monica to handle it. Man I hope so. Maybe we might get an E3 announcement/reveal?

Wow, 4 years between posts, that's gotta be some sort of record right?

Love Heavenly Sword with a passion. It's a shame the game came out at a rough time for the PS3, people hyped it way too much and it became lost amongst the other dreck that came out at that time.

Awesome. Nariko Lives! :D
well no one said she does. They got very well make a sequel with a new character, esepcially considering how the first one left off. I think they might. She's not really a memorable character like Kratos or Lara Croft. I dont think the sequel needs her, although I wouldnt mind if she returned
