So is this like a shooter or adventure?
Electro UK's view on this trailer:
1st part: Oh this looks pretty cool actually, nice a creepy. I loves me a good ol' mystery.
Then the first sign of a quick time event comes on: F**K!I can't wait to pour water into an ice cube tray, but it in the freezer, wait for it to freeze then put the ice in my drink in this game.

Depends on how you look at it. Its not just a videogame. Indigo Prophecy was described by the developers in the tutorial as an interactive movie. Im assuming the same mindset is what will apply to HR as well. I loved that game and felt it was original in many ways. It approached things from a different direction and has potential if its expanded on and tweaked. Hopefully they will implement some of the suggestions requested from the first game and improve on that gameplay style. Its not for everyone, so if you weren't a fan of Indigo Prophecy, than this might not appeal to you.Well I at least hope that is only a small element of the game. I mean I understand it looks like it is heavily relying on story and characters but they also have to keep in mind IT IS A VIDEOGAME. I don't want something that relies on me pressing buttons in the right order.

there was some information released about the game that in the demo that trailer is from you could avoid that qte entirely. you also never really die from misspressed buttons you live with consequences of mistakes in other ways aparently.
So when that guy was going to drive the knife in her, if the right button isnt tapped and he plunges it in her then what?
I think a likely scenario is when he slashes at her and you miss the button, her face can be cut. The scar stays on you the entire game. Your blood will be found at the house if it is investigated, causeing more trouble for you. I don't think you can actually die.
Heavy Rain: If the main girl dies, you can keep playing the big story
We thought we imagined this at the time, but Quantic Dreams David Cage did definitely confirm at Games Convention that if you get the main character killed, you carry on playing the games central plot.
The protagonist is the girl showed in the SCEE press conference at the show (pictured), a journalist investigating some disappearances.
I cant really tell you too much about what the storys about or how its going to work with the characters, all I can tell you that your character - the main character - can die, and the story will continue, said Cage in a back-room demo the day after the conference.
You can continue to play, without this character, of course.
Cage was asked if this meant the player would move into a side-story if the leading character died.
No, no, he said. Its one big story.
The thriller was the star of Games Convention, showing what looked to be a vaguely adult product. Fancy.
which is kind of confusing considering there will be 4 characters. After teh last character dies, Id assume you are then dead with no continuation of the plotIf you die in this game then you are dead. But the game and story still carries on despite you being dead, you just become another character and carry the story on with the acknowledged death. Then I am guessing there will be multiple endings depending on what path/mistakes a gamer takes.

The best and worst thing about Indigo Prophecy was the story. It was intriguing and engaging and what really kept players into the game but they completely went off track in the last third of the game and that killed it. It seems that they've really taken their time with the Heavy Rain story and Id hope they learned from mistakes made beforeIf they can learn from the mistakes of Indego Prophecy this game will be 10 out of 10. Damn, I hope they have. I really don't want a Matrix trip out button matching game. If they can keep the button matching to the minimum then all will be good.
