I am beginning my final film project at film school and we must raise all the money ourselves.
Its a comedy about a young man who comes home from college with a male friend and tells his parents he has something important to tell them. The parents jump to the conclusion that their son is about to come out of the closet as a homosexual when in actuality he wants to tell them he is a superhero and the friend is his side kick.

the villain will be more like the Monarch from Venture Bros where he doesnt do truely evil stuff but more *****ey stuff...but that is a preliminary idea

they will have a Batman and Robin vibe however the sidekick is the weapon/gadget designer and he is tired of being a side kick and want to be a partner instead.

most independent films are made by donations...the site I am on is specifically for donating to indy films...I figured people here would want to see a superhero film different from the others.

No offense, but it sounds a lot like Kick Ass to me. Except if the cause is some life-saving medical treatment, it irks me when people ask for money over the internet because it carries the presumption that we have the money to spare for your leisurely pursuits. In this economy, that's a ridiculous presumption.

However I am not harassing people for money. I dont assume that people have money to spare. I am a college student and I know how hard it is right now.
I have been on this site since 2002 and felt like sharing an important milestone in my film career, which I dont consider a leisurely pursuit, with people here.
Now if its offensive to people that I am asking for funding then I will gladly ask a mod to delete this thread.
My movie will be made...with or without help from SHH
i just figured people would want to be a part of something...instead of arguing about the color of superman's tights
