August Diehl for Victor.
Nah, he's my pick for Robert Egger's Nosferatu remake.

August Diehl for Victor.
I could warm to Javier Bardem as Count Dracula because of his strong physical presence.
However, I would like to have them take inspiration from the original Stoker novel:
"... a tall old man, clean shaven save for a long white moustache, and clad in black from head to foot, without a single speck of colour about him anywhere ..."
"His face was a strong - very strong - aquiline, with a high bridge of the thin nose and peculiarly arched nostrils ... the mouth, as far as I could see it under the havy moustache, was fixed and rather cruel looking, with peculiarly sharp white teeth; these protruded over the lips, whose remarkable ruddiness showed astonishing vitality in a man of his years ..."
Christopher Lee was an imposing Count, and he dressed completely in black, however he did not start as an old man as per Stoker's description. Bardem could pull off the look of what Dracula looks like.

Assuming they go with a typically evil Dracula approach (as opposed to the anti-hero they went with in the last film), that would influence who I think should be cast.
I've always thought it was nigh time Wes Bentley had a decent villain role in a big movie.

If they want to go young/"different" with this take on Dracula, how about Oscar Isaac?
I like the idea of Mads and Bale together on screen better.
Alternatively I'd pick Ralph Fiennes for Van Helsing and Joel Edgerton, Lee Pace or Eric Bana for Dracula.
Well personally I'd want to see the original LGBT gothic vampire on screen, but I guess I'm the only one out Y'all fascists![]()
Maybe if they wanted something different they should do a woman Dracula?
Tilda would rock it. She's pale enough
I'm game...who is on your wish list for that?
For the Dark Universe? Probably a big name like Carice Van Houten, Eva Green, or Angelina Jolie. For a more straightforward adaptation of the novel, someone younger would probably be better, katie McGrath, Jodie Comer, Faye Marsay come to mind.
