Wrong. He met with the producers, however he said it wasn't about THE JOKER. He did not say it wasn't about Batman.
"Word" on what?thedarks0ldier said:word

Hulme specifically said that the meeting had nothing to do with Batman.
Agreed.Mee said:I love lamp.
Two years is too far awaySaint said:Guys, I totally believe the original poster, because I was at that party, too. It was a benefit party for crippled Furbies, and Hulme was there trying to raise money to save his most treasured Furby, who he calls Damascus the Destroyer. Ledger was there too, campaigning for a new Furby designed like Batman--he and Hulme got into a fist fight when over which Furby was best, and I went up to Nolan--who was also there--and Nolan told me that the Joker casting was a smokescreen and that the real villain is Joel Schumacher, played by Joel Schumacher.
No joke. Schumacher was there too. His Furby had nipples.

Okay. Starting a true story with a vague opening such as this one might hurt the believability factor.Jul-el said:Was at a party last night.
Why didn't you say so in the first place? Now the story unravels. . .slightly.I worked on the soundtrack for the movie Boytown, went to the Launch party
You see, this is where it bothers me a bit. I'm not questioning it, but if Hulme was there, wouldn't you have posted that one of your friends met Hulme?Lachey Hulme was there.
A girl I know talked to him about the Batman films(the Joker role)
Okay. He might've made that statement. He said they wanted a bigger name,'although he is well known here in Australia, they wanted someone more Hollywood'.
Maybe he lied to impress your friend. Is she hot? It's a formal gathering and he was probably trying to create his own after-party in your friend's pants. <no disrespect of course>He showed girl the Batman watch he was wearing,'given to him by producers'.
Was she drunk? He said'do you want to see my Joker grin'(serious)Girl said it was the scariest face she'd ever seen."that guy IS the Joker"
. . . Maybe he's meeting with WB producers to discuss another role.Then...wait for it...said he is meeting with producers again next week!!??
No one doubts this angle. If a conversation like that actually happened, it wouldn't lend itself to Hulme's need of her opinion. He might've said anything just short of 'I love you,' or the 'M' word to have a great night.Take it how you want.Booze, pretty girl, maybe he want to get into her panties...
Yeah!!!Boom said:Ugh. I am so sick and tired of hearing Hulme's name thrown around. He DIDN'T get the Joker role, and he's NOT going to get the Dent role. Seriously, I can understand why some might have liked him for The Joker, but ****ing Two Face? LET IT GO. Your "Hulme-boy" is not going to be in TDK.

actually, despite the logic of gradiated time zones, the world is actually split into distinct hourly slots. If it is 5:15 in one place, it isn't 5:00 anywhere. 4:15 is the closest.Keyser Sushi said:But it's five o'clock somewhere.
