Chapter 48 - "A Clear and Present Danger" - Discussion Thread 2/2/09

Oh and this episode teaches us anything about the Petrellie family....its dont go in for a hug when they offer it. Something bad always happens.

That's exactly what I was thinking...but I guess that's a part of who Peter is, too trusting. If I were him, I would have just told Nathan whatever he wanted to hear, but kept to my own agenda--keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Don't think Peter's wired that way.

Still no Monica or Micah :csad: Their powers are awesome.

Am i the only one that still thinks Sylar is an interesting character?

He was interesting when he was a normal guy that ended up being a power hungry evil guy. But oh wait.... his parents weren't his parents! His parents were Arthur and Angela! No wait... they weren't! But his dad is some other mysterious guy! Goodbye normal person with powers that he was in season one.

You know, season one, when he was last interesting.

I wonder what Nathans policy is on superpowered kids/teens. He cant just ship them off like he did with the adults as easily without raising suspencion.

^^ i don't think he'd discriminate based on age.

I just caught the episode. W/o launching into a fit of complaints, what happened to this show? :(

Im not gonna say theshow doesnt have its problems, but im remaining hopeful that things will get better. One quick thing, if Peter can only have one ability at a time, then why didnt he reabsorb Mohinders strength when Mohinder grabed his hang. I rewatched the episode on G4 earlier and made sure to payt close attention to when they made contact. There was no affect there, but hey maybe they just forgot to add it in for that moment. Who knows? Hopefully we will this monday

I agree that in season 1 he was at his best. But he still has potential. I actually like the idea of him finding out where he came from. And when i say he's still interesting, i'm talking about volume 2 and 4. Volume 3 never happened as far as i am concerned.

Showstopper, look closely. He did absorb Mohinder's strenght. That's how he was able to beat a couple of guards.

Volume 3 never happened as far as I am concerned as well:o If I decide that volume 4 never happens either...then I am done with Heroes. But, it started off better than it did with volume 3 so here's hoping...(but my hopes aren't too high:o)

Second moral of the episode: Never let Peter sit in the back of your cab. It always ruins your day and you lose the cab to boot. :woot:

The next time Peter tries to hitch a ride from him, Mohinder had better just run him over and save himself the trouble.

Why can't Mohinder find another job instead of searching for stereotypical jobs? Next thing you know he will be a co-owner of a 7-11.

The "I forgot what Claude taught me in regards to juggling multiple powers at a time while trying to lead a normal life for a long time since I gained flight" explanation is the only good way to handle this...personally, Pete would be boring if he could only do one power at a time.

If he had Arthurs ability Monhinder and Traci would be ****ed...and Arthur used multiple abilities at a time didn't he?

Also, Pete was surprised he flew at the end of the last episode and he grabbed Nathan...he was just trying to dive and push him out the way or something but instead flew.

Especially considering he has a Ph.D

I know he absorbed it to break out and fight the guards, im alking about when Mohinder grabbed his hand to stop him from being sucked out of the plane. There was no transfer of power the SECOND time they touched

Why would there be? Peter already had Mohinder's power...

Didn't Monhinder say he was down for all this **** before he ran away.

Maybe he wants to keep a low-profile and not draw too much attention.

I think he can have more than one power at time... but he only keeps the powers temporarily. Hence why he didn't just let go of the cargo net and fly...
