Col. Steven Rockwell Trevor. Will he be in the Wonder Woman film? Should he? Who are you looking for to play him if he does show up? Discuss here.

I think he should be in the film, I mean it's going to need a leading man and Warners are probably going to mandate she have something resembling a love interest. Now I have to ponder some out of the box casting choice that fans will whine about.

I think Steve Trevor should be in Wonder Woman's solo film, even if it's just a small appearance (depending upon the requirements of the script).

I'm not sure who should play him until I have a better idea about Wonder Woman's personality. I think Steve Trevor needs to have elements that balance against Wonder Woman's characteristics. If Wonder Woman is a one-dimensional ass kicker, as she has been in many of her New52 appearances, then I'd really want a lighter, funnier and generally more upbeat Steve Trevor who can enable Wonder Woman to show a broader and three dimensional character.

If Wonder Woman is an ass kicker who is also peaceful, adventurous, compassionate, inquisitive and humorous, then they could approach Steve Trevor in a different way. He could be very much a military man and Wonder Woman convinces him to see the world through a different lens. Or he could be hardened and damaged by his military experience and Wonder Woman seeks to help him find the hero within himself once again (i.e. should could act as a source of inspiration).

I don't think he needs to exhibit any kind of sexist behaviour to force Wonder Woman to teach him a lesson about equality. I think he can make the standard kind of comments that one would when meeting and travelling with an exotic demi-goddess warrior princess, but I think he should still treat her respectfully and don't disparage, discourage or dismiss Wonder Woman in her heroic endeavours.

I think he'll be able part of a Wonder Woman film as well as possibly Justice League. I wonder if they'll go for an actor who is similar in age to Gal Gadot or a bit older.

My choices for Steve Trevor would be:
Garrett Hedlund
Chris Pine
Channing Tatum
Matt Damon
Charlie Humnan

I think Chris Pine could be fun. It would be refreshing seeing him as the lead character/hero's love interest, rather than the lead.

Pine would be ok. I like the idea of Bourne himself, Damon in the role. Yeah, there is an age difference character wise, but Gal is actually 28 so I can more easily see them as a couple, and Damon is a good age to believe that he could have made it to the rank of Col. Damon can also handle the light touches like humor that I think the role would probably be infused with.

The thing about Damon is that he's even older than Affleck. Now granted, he doesn't really look it, and they seemed to have aged Affleck up a bit for his role, but still.

I with you in having no issue with his age at all INC and I'm a huge fan of Damon, it just feels like they wouldn't be able to get him. That's why I don't usually fancast choices like that.

I think if they go someone similar in age to Gal, they'll likely just make Steve a Captain or Major rather than a Colonel to make it more believable.

I think they should adapt the new 52 Steve Trevor, they finally made him interesting and enjoyable.

Hey, one night of carousing with the Fleck, a few one too many pints... BOOM, Damon wakes up to find out he's signed a three picture deal to play Kalibak!

I think New 52 Steve Trevor would be best, he could play an important role not only in Wonder Woman but also Justice League since he's their liason and also working with Amanda Waller.

If Trevor does show up they need to get an actor that has insane chemistry with Gadot on screen. They need to screen test/audition them with Gadot present.

If WB doesn't go after Pine for some type of major role they are out of their mind.

Once again, great thread title Krypton

I try. Thanks. Today was actually the first time since I started posting on The Hype that I ever stared any kind of thread. There was suddenly all this new real estate available so I thought, why not?

Heh, I was just thinking before you posted that: Usually every thread is merge worthy in the BvS forums some people just gave up trying to make new ones :oldrazz:

I'm gonna go with Armie Hammer. his wife already looks like wondy, so he's got experience with tall brunettes. hid hair looks dumb in this pic though.

I am fan of Hammer, but I'm not sure if I like him in this role. I could see him as a superhero like GL or Shazam though.

Holloway needs to jump on board the CBM train before he's too old for some parts. As it is right now he's missed his chance at Hawkeye or Gren Arrow, two parts he'd be great at. I think he'd have made a good Aquaman too.
