Is it weird that they are doing the casting so fast?

I mean, the script has not even been written yet. Unless they used the old script as
a blueprint but the lineup in the old script does not include Harley.


Normally casting is done after the script has been written. And the director has not even been confirmed yet.


And why all those A-list actors/actresses? I was hoping WB would cast some young up and comers for the roles instead.


A-list actors/actresses usually have ridiculous high salary demands and I'm not sure if it is worthy for WB or not.

Well the director has been confirmed as David Ayer, and how do you know the script isn't written?

Place Beyond the Pines had like 7 big name actors and cost 15 million

Moviehole is saying that Smith could be Count Vertigo. Although they also say that Hardy could be Captain Kangaroo. They probably mean Boomerang, but I don't know what the **** is going on.

Obviously they will have to tone Harley down a bit, not too over the top so it doesn't break the tone of the movie. It doesn't matter if the usually hysterical fanboys/girls whine about it, the movie will be good if Ayer has a good script and a great cast.

Casting A-listers is the best way to attract the public's attention since most people don't know what the Suicide Squad is.

It still doesn't answer what her role is on a black ops team? In the comics she can fight, but how did she get to that point? She was a psychologist before, but when did she learn to become a capable member of a black ops team? What is her "set of skills" that make her a worthy member? Unless they show us she's at par fighting alongside Deadshot and "Harkness", all I can see her doing is staying back at base with Waller doing communications duty.

I can't picture her as anyone other than harley, especially since my fan casting of her months ago is turning out that it could actually be right.

Harley is a huge character, it could bring a lot of people to the theater alone.

The last thing that we need is for fewer opportunities for women of color to be in a Comic Book movie. We only have two among all Comic book movies and one of them is playing an alien. Why devoid another black woman an opportunity to play a superhero?

If Boomerang, Deathstroke, Deadshot, Manta, and Quinn are in it, I can already tell where it's going. They'll show up as the main villain(s) or secondary villain(s) for the solo films (Boomerang for Flash, Deadshot for either Superman or Batman, Deathstroke for either Cyborg or Batman, Harley for Batman, and Manta for Aquaman). If the roster is along the lines of that, this has been set up from the beginning.

You mean the old, pre-New 52 script from 2011 that recently popped up this past January that Eh Maybe stole and made his own? Those names more than likely have changed.

It might not be Manta. Will could be playing Black Spider or Bronze Tiger if they go real old school. Although having Will play Manta in an Aquaman movie could be legendary.

Black Manta is currently rumored to appear in the Aquaman movie and that movie would be inspired by The Trench storyline.
