I've heard it was pretty good, and it was well-received, which made HBO Max cancelling it all the more surprising.

But nowadays, that seems pretty on-brand for them.

Also sounds like it’s not actually going to be Kumail in the role. I don’t really mind that, tbh. His brand of comedy didn’t really seem right for Booster.

I have read a handful of Booster Gold. I did have fun with one of the newer runs that was basically Blue Beetle/Booster Gold doing superhero jobs for cash.

Sneider posted a gif of Pete Davidson, who is right around Corenswet’s age, though if they only just ordered a pilot script, I kind of doubt an actor has been cast.

If it is Davidson, I can kind of see that more than I could with Kumail Nanjiani. Pete’s style leans a little closer to “funny dirtbag,” I think.

Honestly, Davidson was my first thought for this—not that he’s my preferred choice. I feel like he’s a better Plastic Man if we’re going for “funny dirtbag” lol.

Yeah, it was never officially confirmed, but there were reports of him and 1-2 of the writers from his shows working on a take a year or so back.

Well, Davidson is already part of the DCU if The Suicide Squad is still canon. Or maybe he isn’t since he died in the first five minutes lol.

But Booster is a disgraced football hero from the future; that seems like a weird fit for Dave. They could change that of course but despite being a dirtbag, Booster should look like more of a golden boy, no pun intended.

Pete always just looks like a guy who wants to sell me a dimebag.

I feel like all the deaths in the opening of The Suicide Squad are fair game for new roles, considering we’ve got Fillion as Guy Gardner now.
