I'm looking forward to seeing how Ivar is a few years on. Bjorn too, he's become very cool in the last little while.

That's good news. I remember last years preview being officially online real quick after they showed it, so here's hoping it's this same this time around.

Just started this show for like the 3rd time (always got distracted with different shows so never made it past the first episode) and on the 2nd season...wow does this show play fast with time jumps.

Yeah season 2 has some not so graceful jumps. Thankfully thats the only time that the show makes jolting jumps like that. I mean there are still jumps, but nothing so sudden and vast as the ones in season 2.

Ragnar/Lagertha/Bjorn reunion just happened...kind of a let down, not how I was expecting them to reunite.

Ooh, intense trailer. So a woman will rule in Kattegat? Wonder if Aslaug is angling for the role of Queen since she and Ragnar have been on the outs for a while.

Looks like Lagertha (who's wearing a lovely dress) is having Kalf castrated, which he's had coming.

I wonder if it'll be Gisla who turns Rollo against Ragnar. She looked miserable at the wedding but they could grow to depend on one another's opinions.

I need this show back in my life like right NOW!

Oh joy. Just what this show needs...filler episodes. :o

So pessimistic Marv!

I know...I shouldn't be, because the showrunners have done good so far, but when seasons are 20+ episodes long I just worry about one off episodes and pointless complications being thrown into the plot to pad out the season. I'm gonna keep an open mind tho. The Paris invasion last season felt like it didn't have enough time to breathe so if these extra episodes are used to allow stuff like that time to breathe I'll be happy with the extra episodes.

I'm gonna have to agree with Marvolo. When I saw they were getting more episodes I figured it would be more like 13, which would've been okay, but 20 is more like network TV. That's a problem.

Not necessarily. One of the (few) complaints that the show has gotten at times is in it's pacing. Long stretches of time pass, and the show doesn't always do a great job of conveying that. Also, filler can be ok if they at least do it in an interesting way.

I appreciate the concerns, and Marvolo and BestGirl both make a good case. I'm going in with an open mind, perhaps even optimistically excited, but that's understanding it could go sideways.

Are you referring to the time jumps? I've never seen a show incorporate time jumps into a season, no matter how long it is.

Saw this pic on Tumblr. Could possibly be a SPOILER.
