Really enjoying the plot with the stranger. Ragnar scolding Bjorn was brutal, and that head butt was definitely hilarious, chamber-music!

Anyone else get the impression Athelstan is tempting the princess on purpose now?

I was going to wait until this was 5 or 6 eps in, but I couldn't hold on any longer!

Really digging this season so far, Durand's 'Wanderer' character is interesting and yeah, Athelstan's becoming a bit of a player.

The Rasputin-esque stranger is definitely the best plotline they've got going this year.

Ragnar reaming Bjorn was painful to watch, but the headbutt made up for it. I couldn't even feel sorry for the king; he's had it coming for multiple reasons.

Oh, definitely, what with how he put his arm around her in the tub. I think our Athelstan is tired of being celibate.

I really like Ragnar and Ecbert together. Their scene on the chair together was gold, and both pouring their cups at the same time was great too. It's going to be a shame when it all comes crashing violently down.

Floki's coming off like a bit of a jerk again, but I appreciate his motivation. Can't say the guy doesn't stick to his principals!

Who was the woman Siggy saw? I thought it might be Freya or some other god, but has she appeared in the show before?

That callback to all the Lothbrok enemies was awesome! Ragnar and Lagertha will have their hands full when they get back.

Yeah, that was probably my second favorite scene of the episode. Ragnar, Ecbert, and Lagertha are col together. Maybe we can get a spinoff where they're all roommates in New York.

Usually really religious characters can be unbearable but I like how Floki, for all his apparent strangeness, is by far the most orthodox in his beliefs. I can't really blame him either. He knows that conversion to Christianity would ultimately end the Viking lifestyle and it frustrates him to no end that the others either don't see this or don't care.

Who was the woman Siggy saw? I thought it might be Freya or some other god, but has she appeared in the show before?

That was Thyri, Siggy's daughter who died back in an earlier season. I thought Thyri was magically helping her mother ought of the water but I guess she was just foreshadowing Siggy's own death.

Here's hoping The Wanderer comes back!

I assume he will otherwise that would be a strange plot digression.

Man O man! This week's episode was awesome. I don't quite understand what the Wanderer storyline was about. I wonder if he got Ragnar's wife pregnant like in that story he told about birthing a king.

The scene at the end with everybody pouring their drinks was great. That woman is all kinds of crazy. For a second I thought she was going to declare Ragnar King of Mercia.

The battle between cultures and religion is so fascinating to watch on this show. It's one battle Ragnar and the Vikings are doomed to lose.

Why did Siggy allow herself to sink under the water rather than just climbing out? Did I miss something?

My interpretation was she was too weak to climb out. Had the stranger pulled her out maybe she'd of lived, but he just sat there so down on she went.

Yeah I guess that makes sense. Water that cold can kill quickly so it's not that strange.

Man, the way Ragnar and Ecbert looked at each after Kwenthrith poisoned her brother was hilarious! Both of them were thinking, "This ***** is ****ing crazy."

So I guess they don't hang princesses for murder even when it happens in front of a full room of people?

Technically there's no proof she did it! Not that proof counted for much back in those days, but still.

I think actually though, there's too much politics at play to string up the princess. Also no one cared about that guy.

No one cares about Burgred. Princess Kwenthrith was the only reason he still alive anyway.

I loved the exchange and the look on their faces.

So, Princess urine is antiseptic, who knew. The writers like random and odd things for sure.

About the Wandered, I thought that maybe he was also responsible for the death of the old Earl and Siggy's young boys.

What was the point of Ragnars wife screwing the Wanderer? She looked almost entranced…..was it her way of thanking him for easing her son's pain?

I think it was more of The Wanderer's story about fathering a king. Earlier we saw the Seer tell her that she will not bare Ragnar any more children. So I think she was hoping she could get pregnant again.
