Before it was released and I saw the teaser trailer, I was like...what in the hell? I knew what QT was getting at, but it came off weird, even for him. Then the second full trailer hit with Matrix Revolutions/Reloaded(I forgot which) and that one illicited cheers from the audience.

Once I saw the movie, I did like it for what it was, as it somewhat blended comedy with some weird avant garde thing he was doing. It had its few slow moments, but whenever it had action, that was when everyone paid attention.

This was probably the scene people remember, mostly for the music.

Vol. 2 was more coherent, to an extent. But it was an interesting experiment, which is all it was.

It was pretty stupid and all around unintelligent, but it had some cool action scenes.

I love all the homages in both films. Kill Bill is great in my book.

The more times I watch Kill Bill Vol 1 the more I realize its my favorite Tarantino movie. You just have to be a martial arts fan to enjoy it. Kill Bill 2 was alright.

I don't really know what the fuss over Tarantino is about, honestly. He's kind of weird, but I'm not really sure if that equates to quality.

Tarantino IS overrated. His movies are the equivalents of mix tapes. Kill Bill 1 just happens to be a great mixtape. :o

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are his only films I own and want to own.

It was a giant, over the top, ridiculously bloody and not at all realistic piece of cinema garbage...and that's why I love it...it was what it was, and made no apologies about it to anyone...and he did the genre he was trying to do better than most of the people who founded that genre did.

My problem is, Tarantino uses "homages" as an excuse to blatantly rip-off other movies/directors.

Yea...but is the movie he's ripping off REALLY better?

I loved both films. The anime scene from Vol. 1 seemed a little bit out of place, but it was good nonetheless. The Bride's rampage at the House of Blue Leaves was the best part of Vol. 1. Pai Mei was the best part of Vol. 2, with the eye ripping scene a close second.

I like Kill Bill. Had a blast watching it. But I no longer care about it since I'm tired of waiting for The Whole Bloody Affair to come out.

If it does, I won't bother with it

Bingo! Although unlike you, I'll fanboy grab the Whole Bloody Affair when it pops up.

Eh, Kill Bill is ok, never really could get into it like other's have.

Like the first ... its very entertaining, has a nice flow and there is always something happening.

The second was a let-down.

I like both movies.I think ther were both great.:cwink:

Liked them both but prefered the second one. The first is eye candy, whereas the second one delves a little deeper with the origin and final showdown. Plus the second has much more Elle Driver, and I find her to be the movie character with the most sex appeal I have ever seen!......

I enjoyed both movies, thought they were good entertainment. I enjoyed the way they were done, kindof working out of order.
First one was like one person said eye candy, but it was still well done. Second, was good was more story driven than action. It gave ya more depth on the whole story of the characters relationship etc..

Awesome...If you could get past both movies as nothing more than QT using every trick in the book from his favorite B-films from the 60's-70's.

I hadn't seen KB1 in a while, so when I saw it again about 2 months ago, I really liked it for what it was. I haven't seen KB2 since I saw it in theaters. I think I caught a little bit of it on TV a few weeks ago.
