Honestly, what are your thoughts on Kill Bill?

Damn entertaining and fantastic visuals. Love every scene involving samurai swords.

An exercise in pure self indulgent style, and what a style it is. Great cinematography, excellent action sequences that put the rest of Hollywood to shame, and a great soundtrack.

Put the damn Whole Bloody Affair on dvd in America already, QT/Miramax. :cmad: Actually, at this point I probably wouldn't care to buy it. Not at full price anyway.

Volume 1 was cool. Volume 2 was better. There was an analysis of Kill Bill in Pop Culture and Philosophy: Quentin Tarantino that made me appreciate it even more. I highly recommend it.

I'm Ricky Bobby. If you don't like the Kill Bill movies then **** you.

I like both films a lot. Both are the type of film that no matter how many times ive seen it if it is on tv I will watch it.

Love both, the second is easily the better of the two though.

I dont mind I & II.. I thought they could have been much better if they were straight forward/serious films. In other words edit out all cheesy humor etc..,, but its a tarantino film and his style.

It wouldn't have been Taratino then.

Honestly? I love it. I think they're two of the best films ever made.

I think Tarantino should get his ass down and start making the Volume 3 he has been promising for long.

Kill Bill is friggin awesome. My third favorite Tarantino flick, behind Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs.

I really like these, but haven't watched then in years. I think seeing them as one movie would feel weird because the style of each one is so different.

Out of the two, I like the second much better. But they're both above average films.

But when it comes to Tarantino films I'd rank Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, and Reservoir Dogs.

Still KB are very fun movies. Pretty good replay value too.

Every time I think of Kill Bill 1 & 2, I think of a 13-year-old boy in Study Hall, bored out of his mind with nothing to do, so he writes and draws a bunch of doodles in a composition notebook, about anime and chicks with swords and westerns and blood and guts, etc. Every middle schooler's wet dream.

Then, as the bell rings, the 13-year-old walks out of Study Hall and there's a movie executive waiting for him outside the room. The executive says, "Here's $40 million... Have at it, kid."

I doubt a middle schoolar would have so many talking moments, or ended things without some big fights.

There's no middle school acting going on in there on Uma Thurman's part.

Agreed, also loved Bill's scenes in Volume I, only seeing the guy in a fancy suit and his hand playing with a badass sword served as amazing hype.

Still waiting for Volume III :cmad:

I thought Tarantino had said he was going to wait for the two girls, Vernita Green's daughter and Beatrix's daughter, to be of age before making a third film. If that's the case I'd guess there's still another 5 years or so before either of them is old enough to tell whatever story Tarantino has in mind.

^He actually has stated that the film probably won't get made.

Sucks cause I was looking forward to learning more about Vernita she was the only character that the audience didn't really get a back story for.
