I have seen so much negativity on these boards that I think we need to step back and think. About our collective love of the Man of Steel, and our hopes for his future in cinema. I know that not everyone liked SR, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I think we can all agree that we love Superman. There are many things that we disagree about regarding SR, but how about discussing what was done right in your eyes. I thought that Routh was excellent, and it would be a crime if he didn't get to explore the character again. My hope is that we will see a dynamic Superman sequel that fires on all cylinders, and delivers a cinematic experience that surpasses all before. I know that some of you have written Singer off, but I say lets not wallop in negetivity. Discuss your hopes for the franchises future.:)

i just now one thing. i hated teh beginning with the credits but i still saw a tear when the movie began. the love for the character.......the love.
singer you can make bad choices but you will never make me start to hate superman.

One thing I liked in the film....I liked a lot of things.....ummmmm :)

I LOVE THE KID!!!!

I liked BR's Clark, what I got to see.

I liked that Olsen kid.

That's really all I liked :)

WOW....People are not beating the living crap out of each other over this movie here !! Cool!

HEH. Anyways......I loved this film. I've said it before. Routh, Bosworth, Spacey and pretty much everyone performed their respective roles wonderfully. I felt the movie has this epic moments that were amazing, and I was bursting with emotion on the opening credits....I felt joy. And when I walked out of the theather I kept on feeling this joy over the movie.

For the future.......I want Singer back. I don't care about box office. He made an incredible movie. If he is not back I will be disappointed. So, let's have Singer back, I know you won't regret it. I sure won't. Superman Returns makes me feel comfortable about the quality of this franchise.

I thought it was a great film. I don't think it was as good as the first two with Christopher Reeve, but right from the start it gave me goosebumps, and made me feel like a kid again, like no other movie has done since the Christopher Reeve Superman movies. :supes:

I loved SR,it is one of my favorite comic book movies but at the same time I have a few problems.First off I'm beginning to think that all these big creative people can think up for Lex to do is something involving real estate it's getting old.And my only other problem is it's a sequel,Superman needs a complete restart.I love the Reeves movies as much as everyone else, but it's time to move on and the fact that this was a sequel hurt it.It's been about 28 years since Superman's origin was told on the big screen and most kids and teens have never seen the Donner film and know little to nothing about the character.Every generation needs it's own version of the origin, and all saying they don't need to redo the origin I just want to point out Supes origin has been told in the comics countless times and each time just about as good as the last so why can't the films do the same.I love Singer,Dougherty, and Harris and I can't wait for a sequel, but I don't want Zod as the villain. There are tons of other rogues to explore other than Lex Luthor and Zod.Get creative, you'll did good with SR please do a new villain.
