I DIDN'T SEE IT ANYWHERE SO:

    I LIKED IT.

    Well,..... MOST OF IT.

    The parts I didn't:
Tigra getting beat down by a bunch of normals,.... Doesn't being able to bench a ton count for anything anymore?

    And

The fact that this is a 5 issue short.

I'd buy this more because it's more "Heroes for Hire" and "Defenders" than "Avengers."

Marvel did good with this but they are making a mistake to ignore all the "street heroes." for the choice of "flash and Awe."

Also,... the Question in the Back of the Book - "Questions that need Answers" Had me rolling.

And I have to give Joe Quesada A Pass on his next 50 transgressions,.. He must hang out with Slott.

They have me on all five issues of this,.... because it was a good start.

    Peace.

I enjoyed the read too. Didn't have too much of a problem with Tigra's situation. If i recall correctly she was injured before the guys in the alley found her. Shang-Chi in the next issue should be very interesting.

Cool so far, quite an irrelevant story now, but still good

Definitly an enjoyable read. Can't wait to see what happens. Something big has to happen to make the bulk of them lose their costumes.

Decent read. I will give it a chance because the art is great. I can't say I cared for so much time being devoted to Luke Cage's origin. I really want to see all the other House of M characters drop in and out. I'm more interested in that than the main cast really.

You have to wonder,.... Why does it take a mostly dead whatif to get good writing on these characters?

    ?
Does new avengers or Xmen go into the "bought/thought"?
Is there SOME resource reason why we must throw subjects or comics into the same bag/thread?

    TSK.

On topic: I got an early peek at the second issue,... It too was very good.

Varient, have you ever started a thread that wasn't viewed as being useless by at least one other person? I'm just asking, man.

    that was a vindictive question.

Since it's a bet that no thread on SHH has ever been seen by all as not being useless by someone.

Doesn't it make you feel just the least bit small to work so hard to try to manipulate a messageboard for your comfort?

Y'know,.. determining which threads are redundant while you start countless individual threads that could go somewhere else but you need to believe that you KNOW what threads are worthwhile and which are not.

Example: Don't care if you started it or not but the Loners limited series got a thread.

Don't see Darth or Photo asking why it wasn't in the Bought / thought thread.
Yet here you both are trying to regulate a limited series YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN.

Both just need to get a grip.

I think the issue with this thread isn't that it exists, so much as why it exists. Sure, there's a Loners thread. It was created for the purpose of sharing preview images, spoilers and general discussion. You created this thread without all of those things, and instead made into a "Varient thinks ____ about ____" thread. Your thread starter was basically a review of the first issue, and if you wanted to post that, that's fine; it's just that for that type of post, it would have been better suited to go in a B/T thread. Understand?

Not really seeing why this is a problem. The Bought/Thought threads are 90% unrelated CRAP as opposed to reviews to begin with. After page 5, who in their right mind cares about reading how awesome some TV show or what someone's favorite food is?

So everytime we have a comment to make, we should just make a new thread?

Way to overgeneralize. That answer to that stupid question is no.

Now, if you had asked: Everytime we have a comment to make about a series, we should just make a new thread? The answer would be, sure why not?

Your hatred of all things Varient blinds you.

It's true that I find Varient's posts and threads to be mind-numbing lessons of what not to do grammatically. But I was replying to you, not him.

You seem to have no problem if people want to make threads for no other reason then to voice a single opinion or comment. That's fine if that's your opinion. I'd rather we stick to the threads that are already here, when we can. And like I said, there's no reason there can't be a HoM: Avengers thread. I was just commenting on how if Varient wanted to make a discussion thread for it, he should have done that. If he wanted to post what he thought of the first issue, he should have done so in the B/T thread, instead of making a thread specifically for that.

    Just my opinions. ;)

So if I had got off the prequels that hit the shop and posted a few pictures and some of the upcoming comics comments then this "opinion" thread" would've been "okay?"

Somehow based on the criteria I see you use - I doubt it.
Just the fact that you don't see "general discussion" was enough warning for me.
If this were simply a "varient thinks whatever" thread we wouldn't be typing about the shortness of it due to the demise of the House of M Universe. Everyone who were on topic agreed that even though it was a done deal,.. it was still a good read.

I know,... not enough to be called discussion.

    Peace.

No worries it'll only surface every other week as the issues come out. I've seen the next issue but don't want to ruin it by even posting the spoilers but I'll comment after others have read it.

(funny,.. I don't see anyone busting BrianWillys chops for typing what he thinks about a comic or comic run.)

That's because BW doesn't start threads when he wants to talk about a comic or a comic run. He uses the appropriate threads. You're actually trying to not understand this concept, aren't you?

This is what happens when someone responds to a post 2 weeks after the fact.
