But it worked, especially in the beginning like when Raf fights the foot ninjas when Keno sneaks in. And the beginning in the toy store is much like slapstick in the antique shop in the first one. Its just the charm of the turtles. Their ninjas but they are also teens

You need to watch those movies again, old chum. The battle in the mall at the beginning of TMNTII is nothing like the fight in April's apartment. For a start, the latter contains genuine drama and threat, violence, and...well, it's a proper, sustained battle with elements of slapstick. But not very many, as Raphael is laying there in a coma.

The fight at the start of Secret of the Ooze is almost pure slapstick, with the odd proper martial arts move in there. There is no threat, there is no suggestion that the Turtles will take a hit, let alone get hurt...it's essentially a message to parents, "Hey, we know you thought the original was too violent, so relax, this one will just be silly."

Not to mention the fight sequence in the second one is meant to be friendly, as it seems much less a fight and more choreographed. They even add the cartoon sound effects in when people get hit. The multi colored lettering flying at the screen is all meant to appealing to the family demographic. The first once is a film, the second is fun but much less of a proper movie than the first.

Blade vs Nomak (2 Fights)

Wolverine vs Lady Deathstryke

Turtles vs Shredder (Part 1)

Nightcrawler vs Secret Service

Superman vs Doomsday (Animated)

Hulk vs Avengers (Animated)

Well they are fighting street thugs not foot ninjas. It definitely still works. THey were teenagers so when they can, they showboat.

And even though they did dumb down the violence thats not the filmmakers or parents fault. I blame the cartoon. And even with the dumb down theres still very entertaining fight scenes.

Spider-man VS Green goblin

Daredevil VS Bullseye

Batman VS LoA

I'm gonna go with the first major battle in Casshern when he faces the army of roots. The fights in Superman 2 and Spider Man 2 were also good.

For my money though, the one character who I have yet to see fully unleash is Batman. Hell, because of Batman I started the martial arts at 5 and I have yet to see him live up to the comic's brutal violence, a true ninja battle.

I'd say Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock from the train in Spider-Man 2. Definitely the best one-on-one fight in comic book movies.

I too liked Ultimate Avengers when everyone was fighting the Hulk.

More so when it was Thor's turn to step up
