Clark Kent did get messed up pretty bad in Superman III though.

I also forgot HULK. Though the Hulk NEVER gets his ass kicked. Those missles did mess him him for a minute. specially the end.

Clark Kent without his powers in Superman II definitely got a serious beating from that redneck. Other than that, I'd think Superman getting stabbed by the kryptonite shard in Superman Returns. That looked really painful.

Eric Draven gets beaten to an bloody pulp while his girl is being raped. He then gets tossed out the window. Comes back & at the end takes another beating before he goes home with Shelly.

Murphy got it bad both as a normal human & as Robocop.

when I saw the movie it was at the drive in and this drunk woman was yelling at the screen.
"I DON'T LIKE YOU NO MORE KUMAR! YOUR BEATIN' UP SUPAH MAN"
it was really hard to take that scene seriously until I saw the movie again.
