How do you convince...

This is an excellent question, young one. I shall give you two answers.

1) Tell her the truth. 19 year old guys hit on 14 year old girls because women their own age are experienced enough not to go out with them, because the guy is a loser. 14 year old girls go out with 19 year old guys because it makes them feel mature; an adult man thinks they're good enough! Besides, it's a step up from the boys their own age, who they often consider losers.

2) Convince her parents to pretend they love this guy. She'll dump him in a heartbeat.

Super Mark, the Love Doctor (said with a deep voice)

You know what you're right. She's doing this because it makes her feel mature. Wehn she told me about this guy it was like she was trying to one up me. That's her angle.

Thanks.

a 14 year old girl to not want to go out with a 19 year old guy?

I know this girl, she's kind of cute. We've been talking for a while but she's starting to bother me with her being so naive. She likes some 19 year old guy and she says that he likes her back. I felt so frustrated with how dumb that is. I told her that he knows he can take advantage of a young naive girl. But she thinks that he likes her "for real"" :whatever: and not just for sex.

She's making a dumb ass mistake. What kind of 19 year old guy is trying to have sex with a 14 year old girl? It's creepy and wrong.
When I say this, I mean it. I've been through this.... STOP. CARING. She is a dumb little girl. Let her make her mistakes. If you keep telling her she's wrong, she'll start thinking little of you. You do NOT want to go through that. Leave. Her, Be.

She will not listen.

I would recommend telling her, then just go about your day ignoring it after that. While she's obviously not bright enough to see things as they are, it's more or less a grab for attention.

Though, the other course of action is really alert her parents, tell her friends, do everything in your power to OVER advertise it, until she kind of is forced to face things.

Dude, I'm telling you, we'll go to his pad, beat him up, and have some tacos. It'll be fun.

Well, the message is sent ,whatever, but I just won't mention it again unless she does.

She's so cute and I just don't want to imagine her with some ****ing sex offender.

It sounds like you want to be the sex offender in her life...:o

Pal, friends, her friends. They'll do ALL the work for you if you get them in on it.

Or, tell HIS parents and friends (if you can), they'll never let him live it down.

Since when did you start posting around these parts? I've never seen you here:huh:

Every once in the while I venture here. I pick and choose these threads though, as most are filled with inflated egos, and just short of intelligent posters. Though, there are many exceptions.

That, and I usually don't share in the same interests as many of the community posters.

When I was in high school, I remember feeling jealous because most Freshman girls I wanted to ask out (before we had driver's licenses) were dating "adult" men. Guys who had cars, and jobs, and whatever else they had. Houses, mortgages and kids, probably...

By the way, in the year 2017 this specific problem won't seem so creepy.

I know this because back in the 1980s, when I shipped off to US Army Basic Training, it was September; my future wife (who I had not met yet) had just started the fifth grade.

Ewww. Just a little creepy perspective for you.

(We actually met in college; she was 28 or 29 when we got married)

Super Market

So you picked it up too, eh? lol. I'm like a detective, I noticed how he called her cute then did a 180 and called her dense.

very. creepy. dude.

Good advice, except a 19 year old man who can only date a 14 year old child probably doesn't have a whole heck of a lot of friends to begin with. ;)

My best friend who was 19 at a time was dating a 12 year old, and all they did was pester the poor guy until he finally let up.

Something about the name Jonathan turns people into pedophiles.

this thread topic reeks of jealousy.
"she's making a huge mistake by dating this 19 year old guy! she coud be dating someone closer to her age....like say...16, maybe someone with a little experience, let's say, some grinding at the "Panic At The Disco Concert"

that is some tuh-rans-parent stuff there TG :down

:woot:

Stop making fun of him because he grinded a girl...

WITH HIS PENIS!

My friend in tenth grade was dating a 24 year old
she was the age of consent and he knew it

Like many have said, tell her and then drop it. Let her know you think it's wrong, but you have to remember that it's her mistake to make. If she ends up with the guy and regrets it, then you'll hopefully be there for her.
