How I Met Your Mother

Finally caught up with this show. The Thanksgiving episode was great. I wonder where the writers come up with all this stuff. It was sooo great to see Hurley again and all those LOST references! I know that Morrison is not the mother but I'm wondering where they're going with her character and how she is important to Ted finding the mother.

I was really bored during this last episode's first half but I really enjoyed the second half. I enjoy getting these little "flash-forwards" that tease future storylines, and for the life of me I can't guess how Ted will end up in that dress.

i ask again. if she is not the mother then why are the writters building her up to something big?

why dont they make her just a girlfriend like all the other before that?

Let me ask a question, when Barney's telling some outrageous lie to the bimbo of the week in order to get her to have sex with him, do you root for him or against him? Do you want him to succeed?

It's Neil Patrick Harris, he could be a terrorist and I'd still root for him to succeed.

If Season 8 is going to be the last year (and we're in Season 6 currently) I kinda see Zoe as being the last "major" girlfriend that Ted's going to have. Things are going to end tragically (maybe it'll be because she's married because I don't think they'd do a repeat of the woman leaves Ted scenario, it's already happened too many times) and Ted'll be in a funk for Season 7 before he meets his wife.

Victoria, Robin, Stella, Zoe. Really the only one that I liked for Ted out of all of those people is Zoe. And I enjoy her character quite a bit.

And yes, I do root for Barney "Lorenzo Von Matter Horn" Stinson when he tries to pick up women.

Its safer to always bet on Doogie.:o

Would I do some of those things. Hell no! I would feel horrible doing something like that. But it is humorous to watch.

I honestly love this show and hope they keep going with it. I know the whole basis is to explain how Ted met his kids mother but all that is was a way to start the story, now the story is just about who Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin will become rather than just how Ted meets his wife.
That being said I would completely support this series to go on past Ted meeting the mother and go on to her having the kids and seeing how the lives of the rest of the gang change.

So yeah I hope they don't stop at the marriage - unless of course the kids are born before the marriage.

Wow, a California gooner, they do get around:woot: Everyone catch Cobie in Maxim this month? She wants her character to have an affair with Lily, I'd go for that although Aly Hannigan might object to another lesbian storyline

I think Ted's relationship with Victoria was the best one.

Agreed. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to them reconnecting and Victoria being the mother. In a weird way, it makes sense. Especially if Ted meets the mother at a wedding. Victoria bakes cakes for weddings. Plus, Ted claimed the mother was in the econ class that he taught architecture to. Victoria being a small business owner may be trying to get a degree in business to help run her bakery. The only thing is, he probably would've recognized her (though it was a big class). Still, she could work as the mother.

OT: ARSENAL!

Back on point...

I liked Victoria the first time she came on the show back when I was watching the first season for the first time last year. But recently I started rewatching that block of episodes and other than her introductory episode which I thought was really sweet I didn't really enjoy much of her time on the show.

When I heard Rachel Bilson was guest-starring on the 100th episode I hoped it was going to be her.

Great last episode! The scenes with the Capitan on the boat were great!

So I can't really remember the first episode of this season cause I only saw it once, but Ted's the best man at that wedding right? The one where he meets his wife? And we don't know yet whose wedding it is, right?

Could be Punchy/Fiancee but I'm thinking they might swerve it with Robin/Mystery Dude.

So NPH has never won a major award for actor in a comedy series?

it has to be the Punchy wedding :woot:

Show seems to have found it's stride again. After a poor season last season, the last few episodes have been awesome

So I was on the way out of Borders today and I saw that Robin was on the cover of Maxim!

......I don't really have anything to say, I just wanted to spread the news in case y'all didn't hear.

Yea I opened that magazine when I saw.Great pics.

I'm just catching up with season 6 right now. Just finished the ep where Barney and James find James' father. Hilarious episode.

Wow, suprisingly dramatic episode. This season has really been a rebound. Also, hearing Dauber chant, "*****! *****! *****! *****!" has already made 2011 the best year ever.

Great episode. Did you guys notice the count down during the episode? It started at 50 in the doctors office and then to 49. Numbers continue to show up through out the episode in random places. It ended when Lily came out of taxi number 0001 at the end. I love when they do stuff like that.

**** me, was that Artemis?!
