No it's real. I noticed the 49 in the beginning and rewound it and saw the 50. The creators are catching some heat, for some reaon, for having a countdown to [BLACKOUT]Marshall's father's death[/BLACKOUT].

Good idea maybe could've been used for a different episode , like when we finally meet the mother, not finding out Marshall's father died.

So much for spoilers? Yeah, it sounds like a concept with greater potential, maybe they should have stretched it out more? I'd love it if the mother was a character we've already met and there were all sorts of little clues to her throughout the seasons

Yeah but in the last ep we're told Robin is still upset by Don and her new co-host Becky whilst Ted is upset at his rating as a teacher.

Becky has only shown up in one episode. Hasn't come back since. And Robin's gotten over it since that episode, Ted also started redesigning the GNB building since that episode as well.

Great episode

I teared up when Marshall was screaming at God about being cheated. This episode had the perfect balance of humor and drama.

Really good, funny, and mature episode

I have to say it is great to see this season rebound from last years poor outing. This last episode was great. The writers could have easily switched focus from his fathers death and jump ahead, but they stuck with it. Great episode.

Really good episode, totally teared up during it since my mom passed away in a similar way. The part with Marshall screaming at God really got me though. I remember doing something very similar when my mom passed away. I think it was an important episode to have too, it is about a very tight knit group of friends, who are basically family, deaths of a parent would/could happen at this point in their life, it's a situation I was glad they took on.

I guess I'm dead on the inside because that episode didn't do a thing for me. Maybe it has to do with me having no real relationship with my dad perhaps ?
