How I Met Your Mother

Agreed, I just wish I had an inkling where they were going with it. They got some pretty clever writers on this show.

I love how each episode has real heart to it. Not many comedies can tie up all their threads from a single episode so neatly, so funny and have it all mean something - sometimes quite profound.

^ Couldn't have said it any better myself. :)

Haha Ted produced a hottie in Lyndsey Fonseca. Nice! :haha:

And YES I wanna see more of the Barney/Robin dynamic. BRING IT!!!

Also it really impresses me what a talented lad Jason Segel really is too!

I just realized that Lyndsy Fonesca plays the daughter in the show.
ya, I find it kinda funny... cause you can tell they just kept re-useing footage of the kids reacting from the first season (they never age, and half the time they wearing the same thing)

thats probably why they've rearly ever show the kids anymore...

Disappointed a little in last night's episode other than The Captain and Barney/Robin touching things. Last night was more about moving/introducing plots so it seemed like filler to me.

I quite enjoyed last nights episode. Sometimes it's nice to have a little more story rather than comedy - especially with the plot heavy show like HIMYM.

The only problem for me is I now hope she IS the mother.

The Captain was awesome....Ive missed it the past couple weeks though, when did we find out that she is just a bored trophy wife?

oh ok, fine then.....still loved the Captain and Robin and Barney touching stuff

Same here. She really strikes a chord with me moreso than any of Ted's other flings (I enjoyed Victoria back when she first came on the scene but rewatching first season a couple of times has made her character a bit stale, and I never really liked Sarah Chalke's character, I can't remember her name).

Cobie Smulders is just so damn hot.... :csad:

She looks good considering she had a baby not so long ago.

Begs the question, who out of this cast will go onto bigger and better things once the show ends (other than the obvious).

Smulders will probably move on to another show, Hannigan has two hit shows under her belt so she might take it easy once the show is over, plus she has kids now

Segel will probably go back to movies, NPH can pretty much do whatever he wants, guy who plays Ted (Josh Radnor) is probably the most likely to fade into obscurity

I've never seen Josh on anything else before.

Was he the newbie of the cast members?

I haven't seen the last 2 or 3 episodes yet but I did want to chime in about Josh. I've never seen him in anything before HIMYM but I do hope he sticks around. Even though he plays the straight man in most of the funny situations, I do find him good. I hope he doesn't fade into obscurity as BL is saying.

Yeah, his most noteworthy role before How I Met Your Mother was a tour guide in Not Another Teen Movie.

He recently made is directorial debut with a movie called happythankyoumoreplease.

they are trying to milk the show out. but they have a story where they need to introduce the mother

the build up is way to big for her not to be the mother. but of course she will nto be. because this HIMYM

How are you guys not discussing this week's episode. I haven't laughed this hard in awhile. The Beaver song was great. I think this season has really picked up its game and the show is catching its second wind.

I haven't seen an episode since the one where they were running to the same place using different modes of transportation. And to be honest, I haven't really missed the show that much.

I thought it was a good episode. I find it interesting though that they've spent parts of this season "shoring up" some character quirks for example...

SPOILERS

Barney finding out the truth about his dad and this last episode everybody finding out why Robin "hates" babies.

I've enjoyed those little nuggets. Makes the show feel whole and everything has a purpose that is shown on screen.

...and now I'm wondering if Marshall will ever become that Environmental Lawyer or not! Dammit who is gonna be Mrs Mosby???? Ah well continue to keep us in suspense. That's what makes the show good right?

I kinda hope he doesn't. Keep making that cash money and pay off your wife's credit cards Marshall!
