Or....do you just not bother...do you just have the same kind of conversations every day? The usual gossip, the same old gags, do you not really have any strong developed opinions on art or the world around you? Well, you maybe being too hard on yourself, or are being deliberately disingenous here, because you usually have something to say in discussions on Spider-man films that has not been said by anyone else.

edit: and don't get me wrong, i am not looking down on anyone here, all i am talking about here is personal self improvement, for everyone, including myself. not being afriad to say what you really think, developing your imagination.

Well, who am I talking to here? We are on a discussion site for an art forms, films, comics, right? So of course that was the first thing that came to my mind that would be relevant to people here.

edit: Your interests do not automatically make you interesting, you could have all the comics or dvds in the world, but not want to talk about them, or have any thoughts on them.
and as i said to someoen else who said they were studying Latin in the Middle Ages, I don't know jack about that, and it might not interest me, but that doesn't mean i think they are boring.
If I was at a bar with them, and they knew i was not interested in that after they had tried talking to me about that before, but insisted on telling me all about it, *then* they would be boring, as they would be pushing their interests on you, when they know that's not your thing.
You always try to talk about common interests right? so the convo does not get boring for either party.



and as for politics...I never used that word, all i said was taking an interest in the world around you, and anyway, life is politics, the way folk interact, power struggles, gossip, arguments, there are political shenanigans going on in every forum, cliques for one.

I think I'm a pretty interesting character. I may not show that all the time because I'm quite shy, but my close friends know that I'm not dreary. I've lived in 3 countries, experienced plenty of things, and met some really great people. Learned a lot.

I truly believe everybody is interesting if you can get past their mask, whether it be they're shy or obnoxious. I've been surprised tons of times by people who I thought were just airheads and whatnot.

I'm a pretty quiet person, always have been. The only time I'd purposely engage in a conversation is if it's about something I like, which most of the people I know aren't interested in.

I'm quiet. I wish I was funny and witty... and sometimes I can be. I'm just surrounded by people who I have nothing in common with.

I'd put myself around 2.5 or 3. In real life I can be interesting if I really try, but I just don't. I have friends, but not more than ten or fifteen really good friends, and i just don't go out of my way to make more around me.
Online, especially the Hype, I'd say probably a 2. I can't say that anyone takes much notice of me, and I really don't extensively post or anything, but I try to be interesting in what I have to say. I don't try to troll for attention, and pretty well know where I stand in the community

If you have something new to say about any random subject you will seem interesting.

Predictable people are boring. Spontaneous people are not.

I guess, I was more talking about me in person (out in the real world) my day to day life, is rather boring, an routin...

I do find it much more easy to express my self on the forums...

and though, I may come off as am being hard on myself... I more meant that I am just not very social (or I should say not into socializing) so, I generally don't go out of my way to express my options, or join in on discussions

movies, comics, cartoons an art(related to those subjects) are my main interests... an these things don't offend come up in discussion (in my real life)

How aboot...being boring or interesting is relative to your environment and the people you are around...like intelligence, I mean, you are considered quite the brainbox over here in the community section, and I can see why, in fact you won the 'most intelligent poster' award did you not? Which is supposed to reflect the feelings of the whole forum, but really is voted mainly by folk over here in the community section, your pals in other words. Because, to me, you just sound like one of usual 'regurgitator of facts' types of 'brainboxes'. It is only recently I have started reading in other sections of the forum, like the comics section, in which your posts come across as achingly average in comparison to the other regular posters. In direct contrast to your community posts, which make you look very intelligent in comparison to the other posters.

Myself? Whatever state i am in...smart, dumb, funny, weird, crap...I am pretty much of the same status wherever I go, ie I am the coolest person in the universe.

Yeah, I have noticed a pattern on the net, those who try to be amusing and fail, always end up showing the 'they are trying too hard' card, when they see others with more inspired flights of imagination.
Honestly man, I have read your posts where you try to be funny, they are terrible, all those 'talking like Aunt May/an old lady' posts that went on for ages, all the cynical digs and insults at people, just insults, nothing more.
Hey, I may not be funny all the time, but I do have my moments of inspiration, unlike some.

and as for the cool thing, no matter what you think of me on a personal level, whether you like me, hate my guts, or are indifferent, if you know anything about me, and are possessed of any intelligence of note, you would know that I am indeed the coolest person in the universe, why I was created to be so, and why I have to be.
So, y'know, I have a permission slip from God to say that about myself once every ten years without it breaking my temprature. That is actually the first time I have ever described myself thusly.

I don't ever recall reading a single post of his claiming his intelligence is above all others or that he deserves any recognition in relation to anything of the sort... he's fairly humble. The brash judgement of his lack of interesting...ness on your part is harsh. Did he step on your nutsack in a different thread?

It wasn't so much a 'I love me' thread, it was intended as a 'I love interesting person' thread. But, I do love myself, you have to. I am not perfect, but I see a lot of people who are far worse than me, full of malicious intent, which I have never been. I've only ever been snide to people in self defense, when they have deserved it, or when I have done it unthinkingly, not deliberately.

Yeah, you and i both know that he was attacking me personally in the post I quoted, so stop lying, although i guess you are at least honest about being forked of the tongue.
so if he wants to throw out his opinion on me, he best be ready to hear some truths about himself.
