The audience at my showing I thought was kinda tame at first. Laughed at a few of the jokes in the beginning, but got into them more as the movie went on. Same with some of the fight scenes. But the people in my theater went nuts when the queen hauled off and gutted that bastard Theron. It was so awesome.

So, what went down at your screenings?

The cheered and clapped a lot, like when Gerald Butler delivered the "This is SPARTA!" line, they went nuts.

mine was pretty into it ...i know i was cheering and hell yeahing and DAMNing alot:oldrazz:

They laughed at the funny parts, not much else.

Down here in the South, we never get much reaction. People laughed a bit, but no woahs or ahhs or anything like that.

I heard a comment about persian doing goats. During the lesbian scene.

I saw it at the 12:30 Sat night IMAX showing. They clapped at the 300 logo. Cheered, laughted, and reacted to most of the film. They loved the lines in the movie. But yeah they all went nuts the most at the Queens revenge scene. Great addition Zack made croud loved it. I was a little jealous it was all so new to them. I haven't read "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" and I'm gonna try my best not to read it or watch any clips or scenes befor I see it.

I just saw it last night in Fayetteville, NC. It got a pretty big reaction throughout the film (and not surprising since this is a military town with Fort Bragg). Lots of crewcuts in the audience cheering and clapping. Made for a great movie experience.

I went opening night and I was suprised there were some older people at the theater in their 50's. Some laughs and at the end clapping.

Everyone clapped at the end, but I don't remember other reactions because I was really absorbed in watching the movie lol.

My crowd was awesome. :yay:
The guy in the row in front me was very animated and held nothing back. :woot: Big ass geek. Lots of clapping and hootin. I was on the edge of my seat, gasping well hell this was it in a nutshell---------> :wow:

People in my theater were so so, because I saw it on Sunday at about 4 p.m.
People did laugh at every burn/diss that anybody did during the movie. The burns/disses were crazy and funny as hell, especially the Spartan women and the many disses that Leonidas said about the Persians.

:D

The sad thing, I'll probably never have the same theater experience since Snakes On A Plane in forever....

:csad:

Going to the theaters in Atlanta is like attending a sports event. The crowd is aways wild, sometimes I can barely hear whats going on screen because they're cheering so loudly.

Eh, I just went to a showing later in the week. And there wasn't a big audience in attedance. They might as well could have been corpses. Not a peep out of a one of them. Well, not even me, for that matter.

GREAT film though.

Saw it yesterday late afternoon people were really excited to see the movie there was a 15 minute delay because the bulb in the projector had to be replaced .Once the movie got going people got in right away when The Queen told the Persian messenger that " That only Spartan women give birth to real men " , most laughed at that .All the other little quips got laughter also, for example Leiondos saying "There is no reason we can't be civil " atop the dead Persians stuff like that always cracks people up here .The queen had the best reaction overall of the whole movie people were clapping and cheering when she killed the guy . People were very into the battle scenes lots of reaction to those . Overall it was like when I saw "Dreamgirls' oddly enough reaction in that theater was crazy .

Well my theater was tame. There were some a$$holes behind me laughing for every single thing. But a large number of the audience did laugh at the first apperance of Xerxes which wasnt ment to be funny but they still laughed. I wanted to clap at the end but at risk of looking like a idiot I didnt. =(

You're not a true spartan...I started the clapping at my theater. I don't care if anyone didn't clap, I enjoyed it and I showed my appreciation. Every body clapped after.Maybe the people in your theater wanted to clap, but were waiting for someone else to start it off. You could have been their Leonidas, their leaders. I went to see it three time. All different reaction. In the quitest of theater there was like six guys in the back, who kept going"hooo" everytime the spartan said it. everyone enjoyed it though.

There just aren't enough Spartans left anymore.
??? and I were cheering for the 300 and making fun of the Persians any chance we got.
I would love to tell you that the people clapped at the end, but we were so pumped by the movie that we slaughtered the rest of the audience to commemorate the sacrifice we had just witnessed.

Interesting to see that the scene I mentioned with the queen got similar responses. And to think, that part was apparently added to the movie and wasn't in the graphic novel.
