i made a thread about this way back when the trailer first came out, well now for those who have seen it, is it explained at all how he cant break out of it? im guessing just from looking at him hes much weaker then hes supposed to be, cuz he sure doesnt look like he can go toe to toe with movie hulk. anyway, in the trailers iv seen him break through walls effortlessly, but he cant get out of a metal case? is it just bad continuity? movie was all sold out for the whole day where i am so i havent been able to see it yet, but could someone plz answer this

His power is based on momentom. It actually was a good use of character. Juggs was one of the pieces that worked.

This will soon be merged.......................

But basically movie Juggs is not nearly as powerful as comic Juggs.

he is only powerful when he is running, then it charges him up

He obviously lacked his superior strength (class 100) that exists in the comics.

Pyro mentioned the momentom thing too. He's way more powerful when he's up to momentom.

But I hated the part where Magneto just leaves Mystique there :(

juggs is one of my favorite baddies in all of comics, and iv never heard anything ever about him not having power if hes not moving, especially considering theres been times when hes just standing there getting attacked by say thors godforce which repelled galactus. or is this just a movie gimmick. but going by that shouldnt that mean that as long as he can move anything he has power, like say blinking his eyelids or moving his fingers. also definatly would like to know how they caught him in the first place

the real question is how did they stop the unstoppable juggernaut in the first place.

Maybe they captured him while he was sleeping.

They got him drunk first.

I say the used Emma Frost, or some other government-connected psychic mutant to slow him down...

Wrong, Ursavior. I thought of that, but its obvious when Juggernaut reaches Kitty and Leech in Leech's room, he has no idea what Leech does - if he did, from past occurances, he would not have ran into the wall.

They said free beers and he sat down to drink them and they caught him.

Here's the real error:

If his power is based on momentum...then how come he was able to break out of the floor, standing still, after Kitty drug him down into it?

:D

I'd assume he has super strength apart from that as well...

He is an F'in pretty big guy with huge muscles. It would be stupid to say he has no physical strength. Aside from that, he is just unstoppable with momentum.

But still...no matter how huge you are, to rip through concrete, about 3 feet of it, with no room to manuevor is impossible. However, when you suspend your belief the scene works, and is funny, and classic.

I suspended my beliefs throughout the whole movie:) If not, I would not believe a man could move a 100 billion pound bridge with his hand or a man could have claws, etc...

I'd say they used Leech to capture him, and this is not Charles' stepbrother. This Cain Marko's father never married Charles' mother. He never found the Gem of Cyttorak, so he's a mutant here. Perhaps in the comics he always was a low-power mutant, but the Gem amplified his powers? If not there, then maybe that would be the case in the movie?

Anyway, they clearly say that his powers are based on momentum. If he's immobilized, he can't be "unstoppable" because he's not moving in the first place. Once moving, he's unstoppable.

I'm wondering what the hell kept him from breaking out of that cell anyway...What were those restraints made of?
