Say what you will, but I've always loved the concept of good guys turning into a bad guy. It kind of shows some continuity on the character. Loved how Lucas did the whole Anakin-Vader-back to Anakin at the end. I was looking forward to seeing that same formula done on Hal Jordan--instead we get this whole idiotic Hal was possessed kind of crap. so in essence if he wasn't possessed, he would still be how he was.
Sorry that doesn't work.
Superboy Prime turning bad was so awesome....yes I felt sorry for him, and even though he ripped through my team (Titans) like a hot knife through butter...I have to say....they were pretty much underused characters anyway, so it's okay....But I hope to see SBP more in the role of the villian before he searches for the path of redemption.
Although I seriously doubt DC would do that. SBP has all his powers still...he was never powerd down, like how Earth-1's current superman was. And before the Crisis of Infinite Earth---Earth 1's superman was just so powerful. And this is his Prime version counterpart....can we say....Earth is in tough dooh-dooh??? If DC really wanted to use SBP's character to its fullest potential....they should just have him break out of his cell....and like a guided missle head towards Earth ripping it in half as he enters from one side of the planet and out the other side. That's power! But no...knowing those DC guys...they'll have him team up with some lame villian who you know is just going to end up loosing at the end.
Sometimes, I am so pissed at DC for their lack of whatever you want to call talent. The above posts were right...start off with great villian characters then toss em to the cubs to be beaten. Ka-Zar??? Thanos lost to Ka-Zar!!! Okay I'm this close to dropping comics for good. Thank God, Flash is still a legacy character.
