I'm the oldest geezer here...so I'll give it a shot.

(1) Married couples NEED to go out on dates now and then...so that's how you know if you should go out or not.

(2) Dinner and a movie is always a pretty good bet. You can go to a local park and stroll around holding hands (she'll love it). Take her to a concert.

(3) Talk about anything except - running the house (bills, faulty appliances, who needs to do more household chores, etc) or family troubles. Try to keep it light and fun.

Secondly, go with your heart and be yourself. If you pretend to be something that you're not, it'll never work out in the long wrong because you'll be living a fascade. Be yourself and if that scares her off (and it probably will), then so be it. Better to find out now rather than later.

Dude, you totally need take her out. Make sure she knows it's a date and you're not just 'hanging out' like normal.

I'd take her to brunch or maybe a vineyard tour... those are really 'couplely' things and you wanna make sure she knows that you're thinking 'couplely'.

As for what to talk about? That's easy... talk about all the other couples around you and how much better than them you two are.

It would seem to me that it's not really much different than when you were dating, in principle. When you know that she's available, ask her out and go do something interesting to the both of you.
