I went for the second time last night! Still very satisfying, although the opening portion feels slower now. I wish we saw Doom more clearly in his castle. I'm probably done until DVD, too much else to see this summer.

5th time's a charm, I will probably end with that, maybe see it one more time on the big screen before it goes to DVD, and then wait for the DVD.....if it comes out like last time I will probably get a DVD in every freaking stocking and end up giving most away as prizes in my classroom.....kids loved it last time, so I'll probably do that again....

I got dragged to see it again a couple of nights ago by a work colleague whose husband refused to see it ... and, I'm horrified to say, I enjoyed the crap out of it this time around. The dire script, the so-so acting, poor Julian and Ioan trying to do something with absolutely nothing, the over-digitising of the Surfer in one or two places ... I got over it and just sat back and let it numb me stupid. And I enjoyed it.

Jeez.

I think I must be ill, or deranged or something. Or it must old age creeping up on me and standards don't matter so much anymore.

Oh, and the couple behind us saying 'Oh my God, that Doug Jones fella was FANTASTIC!' sure didn't hurt.
