Just once. No matter how good the movie is I dont really go out of my way to watch it many times. The only movies I watched twice were Transformers,Batman Forever and Star Wars Phantom of Menace by accidental purposes.
3 times at the theater. Once, because I want to see it, and two other times if I like it or if I need to figure out what went wrong with the movie for me not to like it.
My plan was to watch it 3x on opening day. The very first IMAX showing in the morning, then once in regular theaters in the afternoon, and again at night with whoever wants to go with me.
I'm going to see the premiere, then go back the next day or anytime I have the day off from work and see it a couple more times. And when it comes out on dvd...everyday...t:
At least once. If I love it maybe more. Also if it's available in IMAX here and I like it I might see it there. So it could be once or twice or more than that. But I rarely go to the cinema so I doubt I'll see it more than 5 times. I'll point out I only saw the other Batman films once in the cinema (except the fourth film and the sixties one; the latter because I wasn't alive at the time and the former because it looked like it was crap). Lastly I'll note "Batman Begins" nor "Superman Returns" nor "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" were in IMAX here but "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was.
I saw Revenge of the Sith like five times, three of them in the first two days. I saw Attack of the Clones five times as well. But I only went to see Batman Begins four times. I keep a collection of movie tickets, and it's just a little embarrassing.
So I plan to see The Dark Knight many many times. Nolan has been my favorite film maker since Memento.
