How many Wii will be at your store on launch?

ok.. no bestbuys are taking preorders. none.. if they do, they will not be allowed to sell anything nintendo wii, and get fined. they are not messing around with this.

only selected stores are doing midnight openings. all other stores are opening up one hour early. and my guess, if you show up right before they open, forget about gettin a system.

if you call and ask about it, they will not give you any details except whenthey are opening, cost, and that they are not doing any type of preorder, that is all were aloud to say.

*RUMOR* Find out how many Wii units your Target is getting
November 5th, 2006

I’ll be damned if I know where this guy got his info, but I doubt it is fake. The only question is if it is the correct method of finding out Wii units coming to a store near you.

Example: 335 305 392 578 39 3

The first number (335 in the first row is the TARGET STORE NUMBER)
The second to last number (39 is the number of Wii’s that specific TARGET was allotted)

Another example : 336 202 296 3806 120 3 (so the Target store number is 336, and they will have 120 Wii’s)

Now that you know the rules, follow the thread that I linked, find your store’s specific number in the pages, and go to the numbered list to find the number of Wii’s your store has (by using the Target store number you just found)

Just follow the link below to the IGN thread, and head to the second page. You will start to see the numbers for stores, and hopefully you can find the Targets by you. Good luck, and thanks to PunjabiPlaya for the heads up!

That link will post all the Store #s and how many Wiis each one will recieve. Then on the next few pages after that all the Store #s and Store names will be posted. So go ahead find your store (there is alot) then just check the number.

3 Targets near me are getting 69, 60, and 81 Wiis. Not that great :(

Best Buys seem to open 10am on Sundays. So if they open an hour early, that would make them open at 9am. I wonder how bad the line would be at 6am.

Damn, my store is getting 81 and next closest one is 51.

I'm not sure. My target doesnt seem like the place where people would wait in line, but I said the same thing about my local EB. This is quite the enigma. I'm thinking if they open at 10, I'll be there at 9.

Alright, this is frustrating. I just found my Target on that list, and it only had 4 sets of numbers. Here, I'll copy and paste what they have for mine:

Target Store 1757 400 497 452

(I took away only the info that would reveal its location.) Now what am I supposed to do?!

Although I'm having some technical difficulties accessing the # of Wiis my Target will have, I'm going to show up @ about 8/9 p.m. if there will be a midnight opening, or 3/4 a.m. if there will only be a normal opening.

Target opens at 8am. 3-4am seems really early to me.

I want to make sure I get a system, so 4/5 hours early seems appropriate. I don't want to take any chances. Anyway, besides the bone chilling cold, as long as I have my DS and iPod, it should be pretty fun.

I'm going to be going 3-4 hrs ahead (that's make it 4-5am). Since your 15, how are you going to get there?

My mom's going to drop me off, if not, I'll just walk b/c it's only about 10 minutes from my house.

I wish my mom would drop me off at a Target 3am in the morning :(

My friend and I are planning on going and we don't really have a ride. I have my license but the road I'm going on is complicated and I think there's a curfew anyway.

Yeah, my mom is pretty relaxed. Yesterday, she let my friend and I roam Boston alone, w/o a curfew, while my cellphone was near dead. Even though we were almost two hours late getting back to her (I was finally able to get my phone to stay on long enough to call her), everything turned out okay.

Target Wii Line Tickets

I hope you can keep your ticket after you pay. I want to frame mine :(

Whats a wii line ticket?

Well being in Canada I'm just guessing that Target will expect lineups and at a certain time will hand these out to the first 80 people (80 Wiis or whatever number they have) in the lineup outside. That way you could leave for a bit and maybe get some breakfast or just prevent chaos or people sneaking by and getting a Wii while people like Future Prez miss out. Just hand it in before entering the electronics dept.

Thats actually pretty smart. I wonder if my target is going to do that.

I'm guessing they'll start around 6:30/7:00 or whenever the manager gets there. They'll probably hand them out as people arrive, until they run out.

So let me understand: I'll get the first one of these tickets they hand out, and I can leave and get some chow at the Wendy's down the street, come back (ticket in hand) and still get my Wii? I like that idea. :)

Yeah. It's like a limited reservation to avoid freezing your ass off for a full 4-5hrs.

Too bad they arent selling those right now....
