Assuming your going alone,How much does it cost you to go to the movies? I just pay the admission and go in...I don't get any popcorn, soda, candy or anything...but some people have to get all that stuff simply cause it's there, but yet sit at home and watch a movie and not eat anything.

Too much*. I get the ticket only. I don't need any candy or popcorn. I'm going to see the movie not to eat.

*Normal ticket price is 6,50€ (8,55$). From 5.00 pm and weekends it's 10 or 11 euros (around 13-15$). Superpäivä (Superday) sales are 5€ (6,57$). These are the prices at Finnkino theaters, which has almost a monopoly in Finland.

Engel's prices are always 7,50€. Orion, which shows only old movies (ranging from the beginning of 1900th century to last year) prices are always 4€. That's cheapest I can get. If we forget Tennispalatsi's (Finland's biggest multiplex) birthdays when the prices are usually 1-6 euros.

$4.25....$4.00 if I catch an early showing :D

$7.25 with candy/soda with the ticket

Where I live:

$5.25 - $6.00 for Before 6.
$8.00 for After 6.

I remember the good old days when matanee was $4.25 where I live.

$5 before 6 pm, $7.25 after.

Here in wonderful Ohio, a movie ticket costs $8.50.

I went the other night with a friend to see Blades of Glory. 18$ for the tickets, at student price. 11$ for a medium popcorn and a medium soda.

I remember like, in 2000 when it was like 4$ a ticket for students, and you could get a jumbo popcorn/jumbo soda for 10$. I ****ing hate my movie theater, it's ridiculous how expensive that **** is.

$8.75 at night for the ticket, then probably around $10-$15 for snacks and such.

£5.35 Monday-Friday
£6.15 Saturday-Sunday

This does change depending on the time of year. It's the school holidays now, which explains the slight cheapness.

$10 regular price.
$15 Imax
$7.50 early price.

We have a very complicated pricing schedule at my local AMC:

Monday through Thursday all showings, no matter the time of day, is $6.

On Friday/Sat/Sun, before noon is $4 or $5 (depending on the movie). Between noon and 5 or 6pm, it's $7.50 I think for regular. After 5/6pm (can't remember), it's $9 for adults.

So, it'll be interesting to see how they decide to price the midnight showing of PotC3; technically it's Thursday night, and it's before noon on Friday so I'm hoping we'll have some pretty cheap midnight tickets (unless the company says it's a "special" showing and ups the price).
